uH, NO, THEY NERFED MAPPING all together. you can never have 5 sextants up, or all you will ever do is boot your old ones, thus any kind of blocking at all is screwed. want to set it up to run 4-5 different main maps, sorry they no longer want you to want to run more than one map. want to use sextants, gonna have to focus on one singular map, period.

If you truly think the seasoned players who know how to play this game relied solely on these mechanics to get in game riches, you truly are a special kind of idiot. Those all same players know how to build wealth in this game, which is not hard to do by any means, and they will always stay at the top of the food chain, players like you just got knocked down even further.

Never used this shit, because without blocking it's almost non profitable, but blocking cut a lot of maps from your active pool and I like to run different maps.

So, no, mapping is not nerfed.

This. I get bored out of my skull if I run the same map more than 3 times in a row. Weeks on end of running the same map would have me opening up both wrists. Atlas 156/157 ftw.

The problem with this change is that the casual players are going to suffer the most even though they are all smug about the nerfs here so they can stick it to the 1%.

1. Sextant blocking was already the best way for casuals to play the game too, most of them just did not realize it. It was a one time investment to then actually have some useful stuff drop in the 1 or 2 hours you can play per day. I would know as I am part of that group.

When I play after work I would like to actually have some engaging gameplay and maybe drop 1 or 2 items that are useful. With the basic mapping system both are not available. We are back to wandering through empty spaces more than we actually kill mobs now and we won't drop anything from the 3 mobs that usually populate a map either. Boss killing also still shit and not worth it.

2. The casual players are going to suffer economically, more than the 1%. The 1% will just resort to flipping only now. At the same time sextants were a useful source of income for those who did not block their maps. And a lot less items will drop in total, so those that do drop will become more expensive while the income of the large margin of the playerbase stays the same.

But yeah you guys go ahead and celebrate the victory of the masses...
