The dangerously big influence of reddit

I hope GGG implements a tin foil hat MTX for all the players who just say random stuff they think is true, rather than provide concrete, logical, information to substantiate their claim. Until you show me an email chain from GGG stating Reddit is a large influence on balance decisions I'll just assume you're flapping your lips to stir the pot.
Can't agree anymore. I remember correctly at old times when there was ridiculous suggestions about either balancing or concepts which I always considered to be a joke then later finding that GGG implying it.

I totally agree as well that I haven't seen almost a single veteran POE player who is familiar with the required game knowledge so he can complain.

I'm a leagues/standard hybrid player who always try to make non-Meta builds.
It was always as result of hearing those people to balancing, GGG accidentally destroys my builds that don't even follow meta but because nerfs/concepts have many circumstances that doesn't only belong to the main direction of it.
I'm not saying that balancing is bad. but from the beginning before introducing any new concepts/content it must undergo heavy tests first. and hearing reddit for balance using their approaches is the second failure.

Though I don't really care whether the game is too hard or not. I just want to enjoy it to the fullest.
But lately I'm struggling to do such a thing.

Even tho I do think that GGG reads both reddit and these forums regularly, I think it's kind of naive and a little "lack of confidence" to think that any of the two have a VERY big influence in important decisions. GGG have the numbers. They have the graphs. They have the information. Going around blaming the ES nerf on "cry-babies" is kind of saying to GGG that they have no vision themselves.

What IS strange, and sort of unprofessional, is GGG's "bad habit" of posting "news" on Reddit before the official forums, and that they tend to interact more with people there than here. I can 'maybe' understand it when it comes to "daily chitchat", but official stuff gets thrown in there first from time to time too. And if 'you' try to use the "cry-babies" as a reason on this matter too, it makes them even more unprofessional if that's the case.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
Reddit is where the masses go to watch and complain about the top 1% and demand GGG to nerf said group.

Look at the threads whining about ES, flasks or pathfinder or head hunter builds speed clear shaped maps.

One good example that GGG devs pay more attention to reddit than they should is this whole ridiculous extention of legacy league. Nothing of the sorts appeared on the forums, but apparently there was a reddit poll that GGG took too seriously, and extended the league based on "overwhelming feedback." .

Anyone here would like Legacy league to be extended?
Yet another time I post to a retarted thread, which shows why really why reddit is better sometimes.

False presumptions and people hiding behind their finger when it comes to truth.

The "reddit people" are also this forums people. Most of the suggestions and opinions there are also in the feedback here.

Why your voice should be above reddits? Why reddits should be above yours here? That's right,no sense even making such ridiculous threads.

Moreover both places has huge playerbase checking infos.Last time I checked for the last at least 4 years now its and every news first posted here with the occasional casual conversation on reddit at times.

So bulltalk,in threads that shouldn't exist.Be thankfull that reddit and other community activities are off this site.It is other sites that gives exposure not the forums itself.

Bye bye desync!

Indeed. And if I found that thread back then I'd be posting my +1 for extending it too.

What the 1% and gaming-all-the-time players don't understand or just don't care about: those of us with more casual gaming schedules don't get the time to really go too far at end-game in leagues, so extending Legacy is pretty much a dream come true.

Mod censorship here is much worse than on reddit. Never had my posts deleted on the reddit, but here plenty of times.

Oh and on reddit theres not people bitching about how many challenges someone else finished, or all the dick waving of supporter titles.

Carry on tho since you really seem to be enjoying yourself criticizing everyone when you only have 33 challenges yourself lol

And you "only have" 28. What's your point? Oh, you didn't read, did you...

It's not the 1% that want Legacy gone. In fact the 1% hate 3.0 and want Legacy to keep going. It's the people who quit leagues after 2 weeks that want it gone.
