The dangerously big influence of reddit
" im in how does one enter this magic place? I dont see any any key!

well yeah. why do you think we have things like Lab and ascendancy?
might as well shut down these forums. |

" Through a portal, of course. In this realm it is commonly known as a "door". |

reddit is obviously superior since it has the down votes and upvotes.
Everything should be taken from reddit and implemented that is the onlyway to know for sure if something is good or not since the community votes on it. For example thanks to reddit we don't have to play this crap 3 times on 3 difficulty just to try out a new build on a new character Look how Awesome my MTX Marauder RF looks

" It's like +100-200 upvotes for balance threads. Too less number of player to determine balance imo. And yes, downvotes, try to say you are like clear speed in reddit ;) |

" Either way, how else would you quantify response and feedback? This goes very much in the same direction, where 98% of all the players deem blade vortex more damage per stage that double dips with poison damage quite a bit too powerful. And then we have two percent of all the population trying teeth and claws to justify that the strongest DPS spell should have some aditional multiplier for a secondary damage option. Maybe forums are just a really terrible way to get a "distilled" opinion about your game. It doesnt mean that the team is completely ignoring it, but what is the worth of a few "selected" opinions, versus a vast swath of them. At least, put me in the role of a dev, and i'd know who i'd rather lend an ear to. (first and foremost to blame on the terrible forum we have) Main point, with as many voices, as many people voicing their opinion, the forum simply faily as an interface that shows developers any useful metrics. Reddit has metrics. Very many, very useful metrics. What would you concentrate on? Optimizing your forums to properly reproduce metics? Or use whatever highly developed platform players already use? So yeah, duh, GGG is using reddit. It is part of what makes them such a huge success. |

" agree with you 1000000% they need to stop these damn nerfs killing builds every patch its actually worrying that people come out with such great ideas using the mechanics they give us then they deem 1 build too powerful and end up nerfing several hundred others. we have 100's of useless uniques and skills right now because of the constant nerf fest.. damn i remember when coc discharge was actually good GGG get your design/balance team on board with the community maybe ASK before making brash decisions i dont know make a damn polling system at the end of the day we play and we pay if you lose your fanbase = no pay. cant make it any clearer. if this patch sucks 3.0 im leaving and ill come back in another year like i did last time i saw the constant nerf train. and im sure im not the only one. |

Proof that GGG is way too influenced by reddit? Chris is active in those forums. Also, you don't see any devs denying it in these forums. Also, when was the last time chris actually said anything in these forums?

" Balance should be changed based on internal statistics of the game. Like Blizzard did with D2. " 200 votes is nothing when it about game with 10K players. It's the problem. |

" You are kidding yourself if you think any metric on this forums are going to change anythiong. 1-20 pages on this thread? Who can quantify serious responses, one by one, with differin opinions? You are seriously overestimating your voice. Serisouily overestimating the entire forums in fact. Why would GGG ever take any feedback of the complete mess they call a forum, if they have something that can easily tell them popular opinion. Your feedback? Completely irrelevant, in the masses. |
