The dangerously big influence of reddit

Im so sick of this exact topic which is why I am not buying a supporter pack this time. The constant YOYO of things that are powerful only to be completely shit on has happened far to much in this game.
ProbablyGettingNerfed - L100 Occultist
Vinktarded - L100 Pathfinder
GoogleDiversityHire - L100 Necromancer

3.13 was the pinnacle of PoE. IVYS+1 Gang 4 Life.
The funny thing is that the exact same situation happens to Dota and Hearthstone, the two other reddit forums who I´m also participating where people also complain about the exceeding influence of reddit on balance decisions.

I don´t want to comment on the balance things, but I think that developers need to find a way to communicate with the players. With reddit being one of the largest forum on the internet, it is only natural that more attention is paid to that channel over here. People complain about the downvoting mechanism which reddit employed. But let me ask, what would be other democratic way to poll opinions? If the votes is overwhelmingly in favour of something on one of the largest forum on the internet, it is surely more likely to indicate the majority´s opinion, and majority implies casualness. Yes I think there may still exist some problems with that system, it´s just that we don´t have better alternatives. The reddit´s way is the closest the way have that resembles a democratic decision making process.

Heavy balance decision could be implemented into polls that pop up when users log into the game so they actually see it and can vote on it.
Seeing so many people bitch in this forum that they want legacy league gone because "waaaaaaaa I want to flip in standard waaaaaa", Im for once glad this forum have little influence over anything
