GGG dont care if servers BR are ok... in these days the services is soo poor and GGG dont give any great feedback about then...but yes blame Brazil conection for the servers problems...

Look what you're saying dude, wtf? Fitzy has been giving us feedback on his attempts of fixing the servers for a long time and no one is blaming "Brazil connection" or w/e that means. Some Brazilians have this inferiority complex that makes me cringe: "GGG doesn't care about our third word country".
Cry me a river jezz calm down.
So, it's there any news about the state of the brazilian gateway Fitzy, playing with 150ms it's barely possible, even more with delve. It's been more than 24 hours since you give us a update. This is really upsetting btw.
Really enjoying the "Failed to connect to instance" challenge league.

Its literally the most challenging league ever because its always 3 attempts to even load the city, disconnect every time I first try to enter my hideout and PRAY TO GOD the game lets me enter a map instance without disconnect me again.

Everyday a new surprise, and still no SP server!

10/10, would be disconnected again. ty

Why do people think that Chile or Argentina have a good infrastructure? 1st of val those countries have crappy interconection with Brazil. How would they be able to handle the large influx of players from Brazil?
Brazil has the 2nd biggest internet exchange in the world (ix.br), saying that they don't have a good infrastructure isn't gonna fly.

In my experience, ix.br is really bad. A lot of the packet loss introduced is due to their routers being oversubscribed.

I play games in Brazil for 10 years with 5ms ping but somehow you're saying it's not a GGG-side-server-problem but a BRAZIL problem? O.o

So, if you get exactly this same server and move to another country things will be great and everybody will experience 10ms ping?

Oh.... right....

Yeah, we're in trouble, guys.

Because Path of Exile is played globally on the same realm, there are extra considerations you need to be aware of. The gateway needs to be able to communicate with the rest of the global realm. A FPS or MMOBA game, for example, does not need to communicate outside of the area it is played in and so does not need to rely on international connectivity.

The gateway is unavailable right now because the routing from it back to the rest of the realm is messed up, currently routing via Europe for some reason. If it were available, players would experience a lot of disconnections as the servers disconnect and reconnect, and also poor performance as the servers get overloaded, having to drop and recreate so many instances.

Players, of course shouldn't have to worry about this sort of stuff. The realm should just work without any issues and we have certainly failed to provide that. Currently, I have escalated this to our providers on each side of the connection. I have heard back from one, but it looks like they're not the provider that is responsible for the point where the connectivity has become degraded. I'm currently waiting to hear back from our Brazil server host.

Got it.

Thank you for trying, man. I apologize if I was rude or something, just saying I have a 10 years gaming experience here in brazil and servers always works just fine, in all games.

But I hope you can finally fix it. I play poe for 4 years, this server always was good with smooth solid 14ms. Since last league we really started having problems, hope it get fixed.

I think the biggest frustration here is Delve is awesome, this is probably the best league of PoE ( and I'm here for years ) and exactly on weekend I can't play. But ok, it happens.

GL!
My end, it justifies my means,
All I ever do is delay,
My every attempt to evade,
The end of the road
And my end....

Fitzy, if you need any help on this side of things, let me know. I offered my help to Chris when the SA server was first mentioned, but he had already started negotiations with Softlayer. Anyway, I think i can help expedite an answer or a fix if you are having trouble obtaining a feedback from your partners in Brazil. Just hit me up via PM if you need anything. Good luck.

That's cool and all but at the end of the day the gateway is still offline for 3 days straight. The most important period of a new league are the first two weeks and LATAM players lost one already. Can you imagine the backlash if, let's say, DC or Texas went down for more than a couple hours at league start? Well, this happened with SP gateway. Three times.

There is a priority list and SP gateway isn't on it. No sane company would let a problem like this drags on for a year, at least not a company that values their customers. I don't know about you but I rank customer service above everything else (even the product itself), so when GGG redirects me to Dallas I close the game and play something else.

Wow, that would be such an overstatement. Also, completely not true.
Anyone who has played online games for over 10 years in Brazil have had major connection issues in almost everygame. Be it League of Legends, WoW, Diablo, you name it. All of them suffered from some kind of connection problem, from ddos attacks making servers shut down an entire weekend, to random bugs making games rollback 2 entire days.

It's no big secret that Brazil's routing is really poor.
