Sort of, Shovelcut stuffed the ballot box many months ago. He recently admitted it after Mark implied that he did it then I had to mention twice the fact that Mark implied he did it. Then he admitted it. At the same time I pointed out that the anti-lab side also stuffed the ballot box. Plus I didn't see anyone say anything negative about Shovelcut for stuffing the ballot box.

Just to further clarify, I didn't touch the poll linked in the OP. What I'm referring to is the original Sexcalibre poll that was being tossed around as some kind of definitive proof. :)

But it's hosted on the same site as the one in the OP so it would be just as easy to manipulate the results. And I'm sure someone more tech-savvy than myself could automate the process.

User-made polls should strictly be for 'entertainment purposes' only. They prove nothing.

Edit: and NO I didn't 'recently admit it'. I admitted it almost a year ago, you know, when the original poll was posted. You won't find it in my post history either, because last October I rage-quit the forums and started deleting all of my own posts.

Mark likely mentioned it because he read my post back then when I admitted it. How the fuck else would he know? lol

PleiadesBlackstar seemed to imply that people had said that it was a negative thing to stuff the ballot box. I just stated that I didn't see anyone arguing that.

I don't think you admitted it at the time but admit that it is entirely possible that you did at some point days after the thing happened and I just never saw it. Perhaps you were just planning on admitting it and never got around to it because I believe we never discussed it again, at least not for weeks afterward, IIRC? Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to accuse you being deceitful here. It would be easy for you to have PM'ed Mark at the time and told him what you were doing/did. I never mentioned the poll again NOT because I saw you admit what you'd done but simply because it was proven that the duplicate IP address prevention mechanism could be easily bypassed and was in fact bypassed in the original poll.

I'll gladly send you screenshots of the very few PM's I've shared with Mark and I can guarantee none of them include me confessing to that. I even PM'd you when I rage-quit the forums in October explaining how easy the polls are to manipulate (in reference to Jgizzle's poll). It's also quite telling that the contents of that PM demonstrate that we'd talked about it before (likely in the poll thread he posted).

Funny you're not going to attribute me as the one who 'enlightened' you on the subject. I'm pretty sure I was the only one setting out to prove that the polls were unreliable for any kind of data collection.

hell, i have seen streamers say: i will complete the labs and then respec into X

My biggest victory in this game was completing the uberlab with a 4500 hp acro/eva character, i really felt that i have done something major (took me like 6-7 keys to do, on a EASY™ lab day).

Okay, now that I'm informed that you were the one that many months ago had stuffed the ballot box on the pro-lab side of the original(?) lab poll, I credit you with enlightening me on the subject. <shrug?>

I remember Shovelcut posting his demonstration that it was easy to cast multiple votes in that old poll way back when he did it. And I remember his observation about how there was no activity in that poll for a long time but as soon as he added votes to one side there would coincidentally be an equal number of votes added to the other. When I posted here referring to that I had no idea that those old posts had been deleted and I wasn't even sure I remembered correctly that it was Shovelcut who did that. That's why my reference to it started as "I think...". No secrecy or sleight of hand involved. He was up front as he was doing it and immediately posted what he did and what happened next.

My HC "summoner" (srs) did uberlab like on level 90, 6k'ish HP, used Determination and with the gear she has on her... also used enduring cry and Flesh Binder and non-puffed Izzy/Argus seemed like a joke.
