Straw poll: do you like the lab? [UPDATED W. RESULT]

Except that pretty much means nothing. I respect the way you have been collecting names the way you do but you are at like what 900 or something total? That is just barely passing a healthy sample size with 95% confidence level. And this assumes you are taking from an unbiased source. And as repeatedly mentioned. People are much more likely to voice complaints versus compliments. Those who don't mind the lab or like the lab in general have no real reason to hop on the forums and discuss it. We know for almost near certainty that forum population is nowhere near representative of the game population as a whole.

So to get a healthy representation you need to factor in a ton of things. Do we care about how old an account is? Do we care if they literally tried lab for the first time and failed/succeeded? If we wanted to get a true sample, we need to find what incentive and form a questionnaire would need to be in to entice a wide range of players to answer giving detailed information about their demographics to compare to their answers on how they feel about the lab including various aspects of the lab.

Without going into those more advanced details and making sure the sample size is large enough to represent the population of interest (all players, all players that are lvl x+? Needs to be defined), Signatures for a petition or poll results are absolute shit for figuring things out. It's basic research methodology and while your attempts are certainly more sound despite being unfit, the poll here is extremely worthless for the things I addressed in older posts.

Note: My math may be absolutely shit right now because I just woke up and feel really off and groggy so my quick calculations could be off pretty badly. But the problems I list cannot just be ignored. It is basic research methodology and the only way a questionnaire could actually be of any sound use to GGG.

I think that all the list proves with data available to us is that it is more than a handful of players posting in the forums that thinks labyrinth needs to be changed. Now assuming that GGG knows the percentage of players that have posted in the forums then they could perhaps use that. For example say 1% of the player base has posted in the forum, then 900 / 1% = 90,000 players in the general player base would be a bottom line base for people thinking that labyrinth should be fixed. I say minimum number because the list is still growing steadily and some people posted prior to release of labyrinth and no longer play PoE, etc., etc. The large number of new players being added from that one thread Changes to the Labyrinth also indicates that there is still a large percentage of people posting in the forum that share the same feelings as others on the list but are not yet on the list.

I hate lab. I hate that you are forced to do it at least 1 time on each difficulty, I hate that if you die to lag, insane traps or insane buffs with Izaro on the last fight with no place to move on the arena full of traps and mobs, or disconnected you have to do it all over again and lose the map if you are doing uber lab. I don't enjoy it a bit, the loot is nothing really good actually, the enchants can be awesome but you would need to do that tedious run 100 times to get the one for your build.
I see more negative things than positive.
I don't think it should be removed at all but a rework like having 6 portals, removing ascendancy from lab and giving the points through another system would be a nice improvement at least.

SingThisCorrosion, you've touched on most all of the common complaints made against the not fun labyrinth game play. There are so many things to dislike about this content it is amazing that the complaints are as consistent as they are.
