I actually find it difficult to believe that people arguing that "Lab is shit" is not a post in support of people arguing that labyrinth is boring tedious and not fun are being serious?

I wasn't arguing that this person even likes the lab, clearly he/she doesn't in the least. But I'd hardly call "lab is shit" constructive feedback. Therefor, does it really deserve a place on this list?

I guess if you're desperate to fill this list to give it more make-believe weight to counter anyone who would even attempt to disagree, it holds merit to add an opinion like this to it. But in a real situation where we're trying to debate whether or not a core part of a game should change, "lab is shit" is not a valid argument, come on. We're not living in the stone age anymore, are we?

So... next time you feel like assuming someone else's opinion, don't. Ask them for it instead. Trust me, it helps in this whole discussion thing and makes others much more inclined to take their time to give you a reasonable, constructive reply. If you think we're so bad, then set the example, because I haven't seen it from you or your buddies yet.

And yeah, I'm taking the moral high ground on this and yeah I know I haven't been super nice to you either these last few weeks. But someone should start changing, right? Or do we need another thread with 500 pages and signatures for that?

Dearest Xavathos, you are not reading what was written. Please note that when a sentence ends in a question mark, "?", it means that the sentence is a question. The questions we're discussing were trying to question what you possibly meant. If my question carried a false assumption as to what you meant it was done simply as a way of explaining a possible explanation of what you meant. If that is not correct then just answer the question and explain "No, I didn't think it was praise of lab". Then my response would have been something obvious like then it is a criticism of lab voiced in support of disliking lab and so would mean it should be part of the list of people that have posted in support of the idea that labyrinth has problems?

Basically your post made very little sense because "Lab is shit" is obviously an opinion that was made in support of the idea that labyrinth is a boring, tedious, not fun piece of shit. Which is exactly what the core part of the list includes! The only assertion I really made in my post about someone else was, "I'm very certain that Matt does not like eating shit or smearing shit on walls." Somehow I don't think that was what you were going on about though?

True it is not a list of labyrinth haters. It is also true that many/most(?) on the list are labyrinth haters. Has anyone thought it might be better to form a Google Doc and put all the people who hate the lab,in favor of possibly changing the lab or want to decouple the ascendancy points from the lab on there instead of just noting it in the forums. It would be far easier to see and would just be one click away instead of jumping to different pages in the thread.

I just don't see why ascendary points can't be earned in another way..

Removing points from labyrinth, will have practically no effect on people running labyrinth because there's still enchants and treasure chests to be gotten, why are offerings worth around 6 chaos? Because people want to run lab for the enchants/chests, literally no one runs lab just to have the enjoyment of running labyrinth.

If ascendary points were something small like 5-10% damage increase nodes then I could understand the logic of "Don't like it, then don't run it you don't have to.", but we are talking about game changing nodes that are essentially mandatory to most builds.

Most people who say they like the labyrinth probably mean they like the fat loot and money to be made doing it, I hardly believe people honestly enjoy the long walk though the giant maze of weakling enemies,finding golden keys, backtracking and the traps designed to make the whole thing even longer.

Changing the way points are acquired could only be positive, there is no negative down side, because people will never stop running labyrinth so long as enchants and chests exist.

And before people respond with "Lab hater!", well it's true I don't like the labyrinth, but I'm not asking for it to be removed, you can run your labyrinth as much as you like, I really don't mind, but the points should be acquired elsewhere.



tl;dr the labyrinth itself isn't fun, the loot is. So keep the loot, but remove the points to be gotten elsewhere
