How many of these threads were created by the same 10 or so players that seem to feel compelled to post a new thread with the same complaint every day?

I'm not super into the lab myself, but running it for ascendancy points has never caused me any issues. I would prefer that the end drops in uber lab were more rewarding, though.

When compiling the list I really didn't notice lots of common authors. I wasn't tempted at the time to record the authors along with the title and link. If someone wanted to do the work to add that information to the list then I would be willing to do that. What I don't want to happen though is for people to start creating new threads to just get on the list.

The problem people find with Labyrinth is it requires a thought process which most Path of Exile players have lost or never had to begin with.

Incorporating a puzzle into the game gives players time to think about their next move rather than become mindless zombies.

This is why Labyrinth is one of the greatest features to the game, it gives players an opportunity to use their brain!

I would agree with your in principle if it weren't for the fact that this is not the case in practice. Lab doesn't have true puzzles. Traps are not a test of your brain either; it's Frogger. GGG also never set these kinds of elements up to be expectations until Lab arrived, and the extremely poor implementation has led to their condemnation rather than allowing them to be used to set new expectations in a positive way.

Now the expectation is that if we see more elements like these, they will be just as awful, and many of us don't want that. It really would be better to just stick to the things they were doing reasonably well--focusing on character development and combat. Those are the things we know they can do successfully, and we now also know that they cannot (or will not) manage foreign game elements (like traps and puzzles) successfully, so they shouldn't until they can prove themselves by reworking Lab to something more universally enjoyable. After all, if you build a scale model car and it's terrible, you don't go on to build an actual car; you fix your mistakes before moving forward.

Ignore stuff like that. It's not even true, and its goal is the same as ad hominem attacks. It's a useless comment.

If risk/reward isn't considered then why do you want them behind malachai? Why not just get them automatically every tenth level?

I wouldn't mind that solution either, but like I said, I'm going for a compromise here. I also stated why putting it behind Malachai would be a good choice. Not sure if you're arguing just to argue, or if you're actually reading what I wrote.

My point was how is GGG supposed to take any of these complaints and solutions seriously if they just boil down to 'I want points easier'.

LvL 92 Juggernaut - Sc

Made one char in prophecy hc. Was a Juggernaut... fun...
My brother and I used to play Path of Exile together. I´m sure we talked hundreds of hours about builds and the game itself. We loved the game until that lab came out. Its such a pain to do the lab 3-4 times with every char in HC. And we won´t start Sc because we want defensive/safe/"good" builds with a good dps...
Now imagine one of us dies (already happened twice in lab)... he has to start all over again with a new char.... and the other one shall wait? = The one who died does not start a new char.... and the other one can play alone....wow...

Also if you are a hc player and see traps.... you aren't cool in front of traps... you shit your pants and start running.... you are afraid... and run into traps because of that... and probably die easier than in sc.

Now we took a break and hopefully they'll make an alternative way to ascend. That's why i always check the forums and want some change... to get back that precious and fun time. :(

If that's how you are interpreting it, you will never see the answer, because you are missing the point.

Lab haters are the vocal minority. Pls, do not give them to much attention. They are not able to do the most simple tasks to get the powerfull ac points.

Because this league is sooo popular err no. Troll 0 Lab Haters still , well a lot of threads which pretty much all hate it for the same reasons. People also hate getting kicked in the nuts all for the same reason too. That does not mean they are all wrong.

No, it's somewhat true. I'm halfway thru the list and found 45+ threads by the same 20 or so posters, at least 2 threads are repeated in the list and one that no longer exists. A few have no reason to even be on this list.

A majority of the links are just simple "Lab killed me I quit" or "lab sucks get rid of it" posts or they were complaints that were already addressed (CI or hybrid ES).

I lack the will to go through it any further, can't take anymore mindless drivel for the day. There are some quality posts in there for sure though. It's hard to find them through all the BS.

Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you.

I guess you are asserting that 20 authors created 45 threads? So, someone else was asserting that it was 10 threads per author. Your estimate is much closer to the truth, I'm certain. If there's a duplicate thread listed then please let me know so that I can delete one in the list. I'm open to publicly discussing any thread about whether or not it should be on the list. Please back up something that you assert, I would really appreciate it. I'd be surprised if there was a dead link in the list, since I reviewed the OP in every thread. If there is one then let me know so I can fix it.

Ah... If only you were correct.

I would love it if GGG fixed the Labyrinth such that I had to use my brain. A puzzle which makes up less than 5% of my time inside just isn't enough.

Instead, I can practically hear my brain cells committing suicide, one by one, as they lament the ennui of their existence and scold me for forcing them to experience the tedium represented by the Labyrinth's dominant gameplay. The Uber Trials are just as bad, too.
Wash your hands, Exile!
