Prophecy was the first league I've ever played where I only made one character. I've completely skipped a lot of leagues but when I play, I usually make around 5 builds, sometimes more. Perandus league was great and I played the hell out of it but I already started feeling the drawbacks of the lab - I spent god knows how many exalts for regret orbs and tried 5 different builds on one pre-leveled character just to minimize the lab running. In Prophecy, with a new and shiny uber lab to add insult to injury, I found myself completely burned out at some point. Didn't even respec my first build, also the first league I didn't go to HC after fooling around in SC. Just quit. You get a +1 from me but only because youre not spammy. As me and many others pointed out, as you proved by legitimately taking the time to sift through those threads, its a handful of people creating them. Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in! Labyrinth salt farm miner. "But my build diversity" , "Game is too hard!" - Meta drone playing the same 1-3 builds for years. There's a handful of people spamming about the lab all day long and they are responsible for a large number of these threads - but there are many others like me who have just written once or twice about it. In the end, I'm sure GGG relies on ingame data much more than on forum posts. If their data shows the lab was a good idea, or at least they think so, so be it. I'm still intensely sceptical of the 'lab haters minority' thing because all my ingame buddies hate it with a passion and they all stopped playing at an early stage of the prophecy league, technical issues and uber lab being stated as the foremost reasons. No. Do you not understand what a handful means, ignoring the fact of the matter which is, its the same users creating mass amounts of these threads ? 200 total threads, 45 created by the same 20 people and they only looked through a portion of them. Oh by the way, if you want some math on top of that. Theres 12 million registered accounts. According to GGG its pretty consistent that only around 1% of players hit maps. That means that roughly 120,000 players are hitting maps. This would be considered the most active users. Lets say for one moment that each of those threads were unique users, that means only 200 people posted a complaint. Thats about 0.00167% of 120,000 people who are actively playing. However, we know that many of those threads are created by the same handful of users, soo in fact it is significantly less than 0.00167% And by total user standards even less than that.
