You don't have to do the Trials and Labs at all, ever.

Helps to actually play the game to have things be clear to you, but I completely understand why that wouldn't work for you. :)
Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done.
Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more.

Thought you were only stepping in if lab-haters went out of hand? This seems more like a personal vendetta.
I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. I see it in the eyes of men and beasts that i troll. It will take me to play the actual game when i am ready and i am not ready.

What on Wraeclast are you talking about? I'm just replying to someone's post and you're insinuating a personal vendetta? Wow, forums these days...

Uberlab guide for peoole who hate lab. The short guide is intend for people who just want to get their last Ascendency points, & not intended for farmers,

1) Trials.
Traps in trials are considerably harder than in actual uberlab, so practice to be deathless, (speed is not critical) . Tune the number of life flasks & quicksilver you need,
I recommend 3 life flasks & 2 quick silvers. Overkill? Why not. You shouldn't need any flask against regular mobs in Uberlab, so save it all for the traps.

Quick silver should have the increase move speed of at least 25% for totally of 65% move speed or more. Life flask should have anti-bleed ideally. I personally prefer flask with a duration than instant, so the antibleed last a bit longer.

You can swap flasks before the boss fight.

2) Took the 2 nodes that reduce DoT & bleeding: Soul of Arakaali & Soul of Ralakesh for Pantheon.

3) Visit http://www.poelab.com/, & see the lab layout for the shortest path to the Izaro trials. This will shave considerable time; & less risk of dying to unwanted traps

4) Gearing.
fast movement speed boots, or any gears that boost move speed is recommended. Regen is nice to have on gears. Use the bloodgrip amulet (its relatively cheap), if you wish, which give a decent boost to life regen. You can swap out the amulet before Izaro fights.Again, this is mostly about reduceing DoT from traps, like the ground saws.

5) Passive tree.
If you don't already know, Vaal Pact is a bitch with the traps. I suggest refund Vaal pact points, get the lab done with, then respec it back again. Otherwise, pack more life flasks.

6)Skills
Movement skills e.g leap slam, shield charge, whirling blade & lightning warp are recommended.

You will want to have range skill that can take down the irritating sentries. For melee, consider using a totem.

7) Izaro fight.
Nothing much to say here except try to aviod his big hits & if you can beat the tougher T11-T12 bosses (with bad mods) deathless, you should be good for Izaro.
5K life & level 85 should be safe guide. Its comepletey doable at lower level & life. Its your call.

You've done a fine service for mankind. Thank you!
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

Ok. Explain why that wouldn't work for me.

Also, if you didn't notice, the discussion wasn't with you, gearbox.
I thought this thread was finally dead.

The easiest solution would be just to adjust the Damage done by Traps. There is no reason that a lvl 70 should die to spinning spiketraps that are offscreen in normal difficulty. Just set the traps to deal a certain amount of damage, so that characters can actually gear/tech for them. There is no reason that traps should deal a % of life at all difficulties. They should deal static damage to provide a gear check. Maybe at the highest difficulty they can deal % based damaged, as you should have all your ascendancy points you need at that stage.

This would be the best solution that I can think of and requires the least amount of work from the dev team. The can literally patch/hotfix this and I would be 100% satisfied.

Thinking about this simple proposal, I think it would actually work fairly well. I mean, I'd rather see GGG make labyrinth more fun with one the other proposals but this probably would be fairly easy to implement. It would make it easier to over level the content to minimize it's disgusting unfun game play for people that would be so inclined. I think the HC crowd would likely be appeased somewhat. This solution would seem to go along with GGG's idea in 3.0. That is to do something quick and easy.

This would be terrible. The whole point of having traps do a % of your EHP is so that you can't simply overlevel and trivialize the content. And you can gear and whatnot to defend against the traps, phys mitigation works you know.

And I have never once seen a trap that can be lethal come from offscreen. The only one I can think of is the darts, but those are never lethal solo (in combo with sawblades or roombas they can be downright nasty) and 95% of the darts are always firing so you can see their travel path ahead of time.

How can that be terrible? What's really terrible, is having characters 50-70lvl being able to die in normal difficulty. It makes no sense at all. Imagine if a new player picks up Diablo 2, grinds a high level char and beats hell difficulty . Afterwards he goes to normal difficulty cow level, Whirlwinds into a pack and is killed by enemies that all of a sudden deal % life dmg. How frustrating would that be? it makes no sense and seriously dampers the flow of the game.

If you want a challenge, i'm fine with them keeping Uber lab the way it is. You can go there and get high level loot all day, do runs if that's your thing, and have a ball. Keep it exactly the same, have fun, and knock yourself out. There is no reason to have traps that can kill any level character in Normal difficulty. It makes no sense and is very anti gameflow.

I've lost lvl 50+ chars in normal lab, due to the spinning maze traps and I only play HC. To have to spend hours building your char, just so can risk all your progress in some 20min frogger style level is terrible design. How hard is it to understand this. Why should normal lab carry such risk???

Because traps deal % damage, you answer your own question. And normal Lab isn't harder than Uber because everything other than traps will not even tickle you. Izaro's traps are even disabled. I mean how easy do you want the game to be? If you're not up to the challenge, you are, as Izaro would say, unworthy of ascension.

It is called a trial for a reason. It's not meant to be a snorefest.
