Your English is as bad as your reading apparently.
First, your first sentence makes no sense at all. It's an incomplete thought, you seem to want to ask my to defend my assertion more than I did in my original post.
Your first post did not defend your assertion. You just said it was a terrible idea and then later said that you liked the 3.0 improvements to labyrinth. How is that defending your unsupported assertion that it is a terrible idea?

Touchy and defensive wizard I see. Poor poor wizard, so sad for you. It was a funny joke. I guess you have no sense of humor either. And no, you didn't defend your position and still have not explained what is so terrible about the idea.

True, I was responding to EnjoyTheJourney, so why did you take it so personal then? Poor wizard, I guess that you're just worried about those hemorrhoids? No need to worry, it was just a joke.

Traps are static encounters. They do not attack you, they do not move from set patterns, they do not have defenses. They just exist. If their damage were to become static as well, they would cease to be meaningful encounters.
As I noted before, defenses do work against them. GGG actually added a super-easy way to help deal with them as well: The Soul of Ryslatha pantheon power. Virtually ever trap gauntlet in the Lab contains at least one spot where you can safely rest during it. Perfect time to let those life flasks recharge.
And finally, I do not accept your premise that traps being different than other things in the game is bad.
Now, if you wish to post a coherent thought or two, go for it. If you wish to continue to play chicken little and scream about the sky falling, well you have fun.
The fact remains though that trap gauntlets are boring and not fun game play for some people. The points you make seem to have no relevance as to why the proposal is terrible. Or any justification for why trap damage has to be different from damage everywhere else in PoE.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

Do flasks now recharge over time without killing things? What if there aren't any mobs within the safe space in the long trap gauntlets?

Yes, there is a minor god power that gives you flask charges over time if you haven't used flasks recently. It's not as good as the other one that let's you take 25% reduced physical damage over time while running. That's like having 6 endurance charges constantly in trap mazes. I'd recommend that one.

It looks like you need to complete a map in order to gain this. Doesn't a player normally need to do the labs and trials before getting to the maps?

No. Base power is available by killing boss during storyline (in Act 6 IIRC). Upgrades require map kills, yes, but the base does not.

No, you get these powers before maps. I think the one i am talking about is normally aqcuired before the cruel lab. You can even not do the normal lab until you get this from part 2 of the storyline.
P.S. Nishrek is a freking ninja.

There's no labs and/or trials to be done prior to act 6? The wiki states that a map must be completed to gain the flask regen power. Is it incorrect?

What, where?

Ryslatha, the Puppet Mistress is a unique Carrion Queen located in The Spawning Ground side area in the western area of The Wetlands in Act 6.
Quest

Pantheon
You are rewarded with a minor god Pantheon soul upon killing her and talking to Sin.
That's what it says if you click on the god you are referring to.
The flask regen is the non upgraded version of that power. You need to do a map boss with a divine vessel in the map device to upgrade it for more properties, but the flask regen you get in act 6.
Even though the reduced phys dmg is better :P
