Yeah. Because if somebody complains about your product, it is a market success.
Good sarcasm here though.

Hah. I like it. What are the only other parts of the game that have been as massive of a success? Desync? Free-for-all loot rules?

Trade doesn't count because there was no single massive thread as far as I remember.

Spoiler
Does this really count as a "massive" thread when 90% of the posts are off-topic insults and another 5% are on-topic jokes?

Agreed, IIRC Chris said they were working on Act 5-10 since 2015. Software development takes a while and more substantive changes than what was implemented in 3.0 for us will likely take more effort.

Here's some food for thought, generally speaking: If the Lab wasn't a challenge somehow, be it by mobs, bosses, traps, length, layout, lack of checkpoints, disconnects, keys, backtracking or whatever, you wouldn't be here complaining about it, would you? Don't you see? The 700 pages of complaints written here has been proving the massive success of the Lab this entire time.

The Labyrinth is a challenge the same way tying one hand behind your back for a fist fight is a challenge. It's not a fun challenge, it's handicapping some characters (depending on build, there's more or less handicapping involved), while letting others breeze through (as if they were left-handed, and you only tied their right hand behind their back.)

The Labyrinth is a challenge that tests your skill at playing a mini-game, not the main game. I don't feel I'm any better at playing Path of Exile once I've beaten a Labyrinth, I just know I was good enough at the mini-game.

The Labyrinth is a challenging test of patience for those with connection issues - starting over if you get disconnected or leave for any reason. (while they'd like to solve the connection issues instead of changing this, I don't think they'll ever solve everyone's connection issues, so this should be changed regardless, and if they're worried about races and portaling out for boss, I've already shared my ideas on how to address that stuff and won't repeat it here.)

So, yeah, the Labyrinth is a challenge... but not a good one, and not testing what it should be testing.

It is only a massive success at generating frustration and hatred. I don't think that was their goal.
My issue with Ascendancy right now were the duplication of Eternal trials. It's ok to put RNG on the spawn of eternal trials on the Maps, but atleast, there is no duplicates on the first 6 trials you will discovered. Duplication of trials should only happen after you discovered all the trials. Currently, I'm at lvl 87 & I already found 10 eternal trials (4 NEW, 6 DUPLICATES). I know there's a chat party for these trials, but is that the only way to complete these trials? What if I want to discover & complete it by myself? It's so frustrating that the progress of your character was blocked by RNG behind another RNG.

Thank you for sharing your opinion that /820 chat is not a good solution to the endgame trails. I agree with your opinion. I've been a bit luckier so far, 9 trials 5 being unique, but the last one is the hardest from an RNG perspective. I've added your name to the list of people that have voiced a similar opinion, now at 924 names. Over 340 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 920 posters in support

Global 820 isn't a good solution for trials, because you're supposed to find them yourself. All these complaints boil down to the same thing, you're all lazy and don't want to do the work that is required of you to gain this massive power increase. Instant gratification at its finest right here.

Like I said earlier, the fact that you're complaining about all the work you need to do, only proves Lab is doing what it was intended to do, be a hurdle between you and a massive power increase. Be glad you don't have to farm rep to exalted with a faction, doing only dailies for it and it taking at least 2 months to get there if you do them every single day. Some quite popular games do that too, you know.
Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done.
Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more.

'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony this league.
Try to make maps meet, you're a slave to the meta, then you leave.

Yeah, it is a good summary of lab "challenges".
Also, it is very "challenging" for somebody who is being carried and waits till all doors are unlocked, and Izarro killed. Heh I have no idea how people who are okay with paying for the lab carry are against RMT (same mindset, same method: you have the money and you pay other people to do work for you)

Well, if we had to earn ascendancies in PvP this would seem like a slight case of runs to a shitstorm of the century.

It's more of a case of others tying it for you. It's a common occurrence in open class competitions, there are rules in place that reduce the advantage of superior physique or equipment.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
