I'm able to clear Tier 10 maps... probably higher, but haven't gone there yet.

Fix this fight. You've put "advancement" too far into the playtime. If you can make it through UberLab, you can make it through the game. It's not "advancement" anymore. It's a reward for characters that don't need the reward.

And how can you be certain that you won't need that non "advancement" if you haven't been to higher lvl stuff yet?
I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. I see it in the eyes of men and beasts that i troll. It will take me to play the actual game when i am ready and i am not ready.

Dunno, any decent build (high yellows and low reds) can do uber lab, those points might push you a few map tiers higher or into guardian/shaper territory. Yeah, it's late advancement but final stages of optimizing are where you need it the most.

Would be nice if there is a poll/feedback on who actually like the traps.

traps are fine, to break the flow but they shouldn't be focus of an ARPG, especially on the longest session of the game where you have to restart from scratch when you die.

I agree with this.

A few traps here and there to keep players on their toes is fine. That's normal in an ARPG and, done well, the occasional trap makes the game more challenging and more fun.

An example of traps done well would be the Bastion of Chaos in Grim Dawn. An example of traps overdone would be POE trap gauntlets and, in the ARPG genre, that's pretty much the only example I've ever found.

The lore behind trap gauntlets makes no sense, as well, as Chitus needing an heir doesn't connect with gating succession to the throne behind trap gauntlets. Linking trap gauntlets to becoming an emporer takes "stupid job interview questions that have no connection to the job" to a whole new level.
Now that prestige classes will finally leave lab in 4.0, will GGG get it right this time or will they find new ways to repeat old mistakes?

Even in games with lots of traps, like prince of persia & Tombraider, there are enough checkpoints so you don't have to restart at beginning. If you have to restart entire level if you die in a trap in tomb raider, I don't think I will play the game, & I don't think I am alone.

& here we have an ARPG with traps that IMO, not easier (uber ones) then the ones in Tomb raider, a game design around enviromental traps!

In my opinion, either simplify the traps, or have checkpoints.

Checkpoints/waypoints would be a very nice "fix". I've added you to the list of similar opinions, now at 923. I've added a few "&"'s for some miscellaneous "oldtime" contributors to this thread.

I am done again. Came played got sick of traps again. Done for now.

Well, I'm sorry you lack the reading comprehension to understand it. I tried. Because if you read it again, it clearly explains how and why issues can happen to PoE and not to other services.

If you want to prove you're right, run the test. Otherwise you're just making an uneducated guess.

And if you want to take guesses on percentages, I bet it's more like 60% for it to be on your end and 40% to be on their end. It can also be an issue in between those.

You (likely) have less contact with your service provider than GGG does. If issues pop up on their end it becomes apparent because the tech help forum fills up with posts and they get on it.

If problems happen on your end, your ISP doesn't give 2 shits unless you contact them and complain. They're not monitoring your network health.

Am I saying it's always on your end? NO. Am I saying it's never on GGGs end? NO

I'm simply stating that your belief that problems with one game while no problems with another game is no signifier of anything other than that you're having issues. You simply cannot accurately gauge where the issue is originating like this. Period.

Actually soooooo wrong. I contacted verizon and they routed my network and told me what piece of equipment was failing and should be replaced.

Another time they routed the packets and realized it was on their end and fixed it.

A moron in this day and age can isolate where it occurs in the network.

The issue is recovering from normal loss. When you play every game BUT this one fine its pretty easy to know the issue.

Compound it with using 1970 game mechanics even most jrps do not use anymore. Sure dealing with packet loss and bad recovery and no save points make the game harder.

If I jammed a spike in my eye it would make the game harder too.

So what was the "final straw"? e.g., endgame trials or the thought of starting a new character and having to go through the labs again or ?
