SET FREE THE ASCENDANCY POINTS (or rework the lab) [New ascension methods/lab rework ideas]
Thanks for confirming that we've been on topic and that gibbousmoon's interjection was the off-topic post.

" You're welcome. BTW, there's nothing in the GGG post that supports your silly assertion that my statement, "It is very simple. If he plays many other online games and the only game where he has these network problems is game X then it is 99% certain that game X has some kind of a problem." was "dead wrong." Pretending otherwise just demonstrates that you're full of it as was previously asserted. Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

It's not necessarily a network issue it might like bad code recovery from minor packet loss or a number of issues that stem from minor network issues other games do not have.
Normally you shrug this off but as you said when you revert to bad jrpg ideas of the 70's like no save points to make your game seem harder, you compound issues modern games do not have often and when they do they are quickly forgotten by better game mechanics. |

Well, I'm sorry you lack the reading comprehension to understand it. I tried. Because if you read it again, it clearly explains how and why issues can happen to PoE and not to other services.
If you want to prove you're right, run the test. Otherwise you're just making an uneducated guess. And if you want to take guesses on percentages, I bet it's more like 60% for it to be on your end and 40% to be on their end. It can also be an issue in between those. You (likely) have less contact with your service provider than GGG does. If issues pop up on their end it becomes apparent because the tech help forum fills up with posts and they get on it. If problems happen on your end, your ISP doesn't give 2 shits unless you contact them and complain. They're not monitoring your network health. Am I saying it's always on your end? NO. Am I saying it's never on GGGs end? NO I'm simply stating that your belief that problems with one game while no problems with another game is no signifier of anything other than that you're having issues. You simply cannot accurately gauge where the issue is originating like this. Period. Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you.

" Great to hear a turn to sanity in your post. Now let's review what the discussion is about. " It appears you're saying NOW that I'm not dead wrong. Instead you're saying that I should have said 60% instead of 99%. That is within the boundaries of rational thought. Which is much different than your assertion that I was dead wrong. " It's amazing what a full 8 hours of sleep can do for the sleep deprived brain. :) " No, lets not. My issue with what you said had nothing to do with your percentage. It had everything to do with you implying that PoE having issues while another game doesn't is almost certainly a GGG problem. That is what I was saying you were dead wrong about. I'm satisfied with my last post, I admit I could have worded my arguments better previously. It is what it is. Time to move on. Edit: And FWIW, calling your ISP and complaining might not get you anywhere. These people look at their monitors and see you have a connection and "you're fine". In the past I've had to go so far as to demand a tech to come to my house and then run the WinMTR right in front of him for something to get done. The same tech has come to my house now at least a dozen times in the past few years, in fact I have his private number for when I run into issues again. Like I said before, one call and no more lag. :) Be proactive or suffer the lag. That's my 2c for the day, take it or leave it. Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you. " Now you're just quibbling over details, 60% versus 99%. For example, I was assuming that any problem caused by a server client issue in an online game versus an offline game would be considered a network problem. So rubber banding or the insidious bug that was around for years where the PoE server and client would think your character was in two different places and your character would rubber band back into a different place. Then how would that be counted in the percentage? As 1 problem or 200,000 instances of a problem? I think that 99% is within the realm of reasonable assertions. Definitely not in the realm of "dead wrong" that you previously erroneously asserted. " I'm not trolling. Your assertion that I'm trolling is either trolling on your part or you've perhaps you've just returned to your non-rational state? There's no doubt that in my computers and probably even your case that if all network issues hit playing PoE were totaled that less than 1% of those problems were not GGG problems. Playing PoE for years with that insidious rubber band bug lurking would probably be more than enough in my case especially since I haven't hit any network bugs playing PoE that are likely in the category of transit lag that you assert is maybe 40% of all problems.
