SET FREE THE ASCENDANCY POINTS (or rework the lab) [New ascension methods/lab rework ideas]

Damn spoiled brats leaving a non fun game to play a challenging FUN one, those rat bastards.
If only they would leave... that's the main issue. Complain, complain, complain and only some of them actually bother to play. If the game is so terrible, why spend time on forums bothering us?

Feedback I'm totally on board with. I just don't understand the concept of spending time on something you absolutely hate.
Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done.
Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more.

'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony this league.
Try to make maps meet, you're a slave to the meta, then you leave.

No bloody idea, honestly, I'm no mind reader and certainly no game designer. Though, gotta say that I notice a lack of hurdles that are annoying in just the right amount in modern games, probably because it's much easier to make something people will like than something they will hate just enough to reinforce the feeling of accomplishment. Actually, it's tricky as hell so it's no wonder the hurdlecraft is dying out, these are hard times so releasing a candy that's plain sweet is a surer shot than one that's bitter in exactly the right amount to bring out the sweetness, which also varies by consumer.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

You only have yourself to blame for reading this thread over and over. And complaining about it over and over. Exercise some self control and play the game instead. It's very trumpish of you to be so obsessed over something you absolutely hate.

Oh, on the contrary. I don't hate you or anyone here at all. Hate is way too strong a word for me to use to address a forum post with.

Just because I don't understand, doesn't mean I immediately hate it. I just don't see the point in a lot if things here, especially concerning you personally.

TD is only having a discussion, just so happens to be on the opposite side. You on the other hand are sacrificing your account and actively boycotting the game.

As I said, I don't understand your motive or your goal in all this. But it's not about me. What are you trying to achieve with this? How is it helping you to do these things?

This is what really matters at the end of the day. I don't have the least doubt in my mind (and I'm sure the marketing folks at GGG don't either) that GGG has lost money as a result of the Lab. ("How much?" is a more difficult question to answer, even by the company itself.)

I doubt it, I am sure the expansion brought in lots of folks.
i like the lab it offer something else to do beside mapping

Actually the term platform game has been around since loderunner. When did we leave the POE forums and go to the Lawyers forums?

Actually this completely irrelevant here, beside the point.

Some people that are farming it, but are being forced to focus more / pay more attention than facerolling linear maps might also dislike it, imho.
People don't usually like to get outside of their comfort zone I think.

That's a nice analogy you got there.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

Well, I got also a nice analogy : The lab tastes like to much salt in the soup.

....or like making a vegetables dinner and only a few customers like it. But because ggg knows best for their "children" (and instead of rethinking their menu design or making it optional and trying to pique the curiosity of their customers), they now force everyone to have this hardcore...ah,sorry, I wanted to say:... vegetable-experience. (Im sorry for the children of the gamedesigner ...lol).

If the idea of product references would ever extended to phrases, words like this would occur beneath: People who liked the phrase "get outside of their comfort zone" liked also the phrase "to nudge someone"

It's very simple. It's what all of us want, a fun game. Although some pro-lab people have claimed they are here for the salty tears? Not sure what you mean by asserting that The_Reporter is actively boycotting the game? He plays the game. I'm the one that currently finds D3 more fun than PoE due to the labyrinth. The_Reporter is currently playing PoE.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!
