Makes me enjoy lab even more.
@Jgizle
What exactly is it you enjoy about the Lab ?
Several things.
1. 1 stop shop for gaining currency. (Free red maps, div cards, enchants, ect)
2. Has a dynamically changing boss fight that can be scaled up based on player choice for more rewards.
3. Is content capable of testing the strength and effectiveness of theorycrafted builds.
4. Has a racing mechanic with leaderboards and rewards.
5. Has a dynamically changing layout (daily) so each run is different and fresh.
6. Is the only content that is more rewarding for the time invested. No other content is any where close to as rewarding for the time spent (especially when carrying others, its just more profit for something you are already doing)
7. Will never change, will not get easier, will always be profitable for the rest of POEs future (Chris actually said they plan to add more traps, 1 that has over 10 different effects. And also made it quite clear in one of the State of Exile Podcasts that he does not care about the minority who hate lab, and confirms lab haters are in fact a minority)
As of now this thread serves no real purpose. But if you think this will make Chris change his mind, more power to ya.
Lab is here to stay. It is being built upon in future updates to become the end game. Mapping and lab will become one with each other for end game goals. They are only going to add more and more enchants meaning people spend more and more time in lab, or spend more and more for the enchants.

Interesting that most of your Points include Profit / Reward but none includes that you like Traps and their Mechanics.

The traps are part of every point except the first.

Pretty irrelevant, you fail to see the big picture.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. Last edited by Fruz#6137 on Nov 7, 2016, 7:37:03 AM

I fail to read : I like Traps
I fail to read : I like the Mechanics of Traps
What I read is : I like to make Profit. I like that People hate the Lab, so I can make a special Build to get even more Profit when I carry People through it.

I´ve seen Videos where People just run through Traps as if they were not there, so I made a Lab Runner myself and tested it.
Guess what...
Nearly all of your Points pro Traps become irrelevant.
The Traps and the Mechanics will always stay the same, if you got a Lab Runner it doesn´t matter at all where they are, how many and in what Combination they exist.
In the End you got a Labyrinth with very good Loot / Profit at the End and that is what you Guys like, not the Traps, not the Mechanics because they are pi** easy with a special Char.

His like or dislike of the traps has no impact on the validity of the items he has listed here for your edification. Take a good read and appreciate that he has digested multiple responses from leading GGG devs and distilled them down to their salient points.
Lab is staying; it is unfortunate you (others as well) do not like it.

TLDR : if a content can be cheesed, it's definitely shit.
Of course.
Feeling the need to build a "lab runner" might give us some clues of how good you are at the lab to begin with actually.
No need for a particular build to run the lab, at all.

Oh, it has validity to this whole Thread Regulator posted on Page 1 under Point A.
The Mechanics of Traps ignore Level and most Builds in this Game.
You can be Level 100, Evasion, Dodge and Block to the Max and still die in NORMAL Lab if you stay to long in one Place, got a DC or whatnot.
Most Builds that are not specifically designed to run the Lab have a hard time doing it, because of the Mechanics.
Yet everybody wants Ascendancy Points, for every Char, because they are so effing good and Fun.
The whole Purpose of this Thread is to get them out of the Lab or away from Traps, so non pure Lab Runner Builds can enjoy getting them.
That is why I ask if anybody likes this die-in-half-a-Second-Mechanics and if so why.
Because either you build a char that mitigates most of the Traps damage so it doesn´t matter at all if they are there or you don´t.
