SET FREE THE ASCENDANCY POINTS (or rework the lab) [New ascension methods/lab rework ideas]

I am quite annoyed by the lab locking ascendancy points. If people enjoy labs then they will do them anyways, the thing is, is that the trap mechanics are ridiculous versus low-life/ES builds like summoners. On my marauder I can walk through the traps and not pop a potion at all, it is a complete night and day difference. I don't see why they don't just allow you to get ascendancy points after killing malachai on each difficulty, and then perhaps to get the "uber" points you would have to beat certain tiers of maps. Win-win for everyone that way, people could still play the labs, and for those of us who don't enjoy it we could still get our ascendancy points without having to play "dodge the trap" for 20 minutes. Seriously ridiculous that I can clear T6+ maps and struggle with a cruel lab because a stupid trap comes out from the wall and comes at me 100km/h to burn me down at level 77. I really wish the labs were optional, I have no friends on my friends list who do them when they do not have to.

To me, that shows that it isn't fun and is something they should have introduced to the community instead of being sneaky and changing the game completely. This was a really bad idea to implement traps in an ARPG. This isn't a rogue-like game.
While I am in camp "lab sucks" I disagree with your statement that traps are ridiculous vs ES/LL. ES characters take less damage and traps are actually easier for them should you get hit by few. You can even pop a basalt and basically run through sets of traps easy. You are immune to poison as CI as well, which is a huge bonus for ES.

Thank you for posting your opinion here in the Feedback and Suggestions forum. Your opinions are shared by many and similar opinions and suggestions have been documented in the OP of this thread. The best way to get GGG to fix this is posts such as yours. I've taken the liberty of adding your account name to the list of people that have expressed similar opinions. The list is here, Over 270 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 630 posters in support. A purpose of the list is that there have been multiple people saying that GGG shouldn't consider making any changes because only 5, 10, or 20 people have ever expressed opinions such as yours. The list shows that there are many more than that.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!
At this point the damage to the community because of GGGs silence and the constant clash of the lab lovers and haters is going to be longlasting and perhaps permanent no matter what happens. This is what happens when a company stays silent on an important issue. If they had just told us what the planned most all of this would have settled down.
Things are in a bad spot, without question.

You mean like they did months ago when they said there was no plans to change the lab?

GGG said on the podcast that they had no plans to change the lab.

Unless I see it in writing from them, we can only surmise that you're pulling misinformation straight out of your nether-region

Search this thread for the podcast, hell I'm sure it was in a q\a as well. But you playing ignorant is far easier then accepting reality.
