SET FREE THE ASCENDANCY POINTS (or rework the lab) [New ascension methods/lab rework ideas]

Well I can't even make it through to cruel now that the stability is at an all time low (for me). Can't even imagine how bad the performance in the lab must be now. It was never good to begin with.
I would state my opinion, but my angry rant at how dumb Labyrinth is would only be answered by ignorant elitist fools. So I'm just gonna say that Lab sucks, suggest that-

Normal difficulty - fight Izaro once.
Cruel difficulty - fight Izaro twice.
Merciless difficulty - fight Izaro thrice. (Like Labyrinth is now)

-and walk away.

That would reduce the horrible game play but it would still be forced on people that consider it horrible game play.

Quitted the game for now. New league started an I'm not motivated at all to create new characters and play the labyrinth over and over again. PoE was nice as long as it lasted. Time to move on and hope GGG considers changing the lap at some point.

Wow, nice way to start a post, good job ....

Normal is here to prepare players for what comes next, which is why the content is basically the same, all the way through, for everything.
They are most likely "instanciating" the different acts and elements the same way with just a couple of parameters that differ ( levels, resistances ).

Changing the pattern of the lab for each difficulty would be different.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

I'd like that compromise.

I mentioned that one before.

It is exspecially good considering that 3.0 brings a new Act, but likely not enough content to cut down the difficulties. So not only would you have to run 3 full labs for a char to reach endgame you also would have to do 3 full new acts.

I also could see them adding waypoints before Izaro after a while. Those waypoints wouldn't persist in the same way other waypoints do, but if you leave the lab without dying you start at the last waypoint, this would help with DCs or people not really having a lot of time at hand. If you go back in you start at the last waypoint or can generate a new instance if you want to. It would take a little effort, because you would have to save Izaro states as well (which buffs he got) but it is doable.

I also would assume that Izaro gets even a little easier (except for Uber) they did that with every boss in the game over time, because they wanted to put them out of focus and for regular content it was also intended to remove roadblocks, because you had to fight them. Malachai was really tough and put people through much misery if they wanted to get to Cruel and even worse to Merciless. Izaro doesn't do that, since he can easily be outleveled, but people usually want to get the ascendancy early and making him easier and more comparable to dominus in difficulty would increase the number of people that actually attempt normal lab in normal.
for me 3 things ,

- nerf trap damage
- reduce size and number areas
- 6 portal for uber

I like it but more detail for "nerf trap damage".

- make trap damage scale more like monster damage does depending on monster level
- spread traps out and add monsters in between. The focus should be on killing monsters and getting loot. You know like everywhere else in what used to be a great game.

The focus is on monsters and most trap setups fit on one screen, some of the burning floor trap gauntlets are annoying if you don't know them since it is hard to figure out where to go, but the others are small and quite easy to pass. The damage is a hard thing, you could make normal and cruel easier, but exspecially normal already is incredible easy since you get the new flasks right there and those fill you up instantly, and no one should have specced in CI already at lvl33. Also if the Lab is shortened there are 1 or 2 gauntlets to pass to reach Izaro which shouldn't be too hard.

I would like it if your minimap immidiatly shows the whole trap gauntlet if you encounter it. Because honestly they aren't easy to navigate when they get bigger (which is more an issue in Trials, since Lab Gauntlets except for Burning Ground are so short). Exspecially when you have to push timed levers you don't know how many there are.

I'm not in favor of making Uber any easier. I only even did it on one of my chars, because the others wouldn't really benefit from it and while the 3 story labs are mandatory, the Uber lab is not, a char should be fine with just 6 points, its similar to most players never reaching all 123 avaible skillpoints.
