SET FREE THE ASCENDANCY POINTS (or rework the lab) [New ascension methods/lab rework ideas]

Bad suggestion. If you want something work for it, don't ask for free hand outs.

I have no problem with the merc lab, I almost breeze through it without needing any kind of cheese now, the fact is that there can be deadly moments if one is not careful enough ( and that's a fact, not depending on the character ).
Exactly what HC is supposed to be, deadly if not paying attention ( there are also other parameters of course ).

Like bearers or volatiles can be deadly if you don't pay attention.

Take your time and read the opening post. You clearly only saw the title and thus your comment is totally ignorant and irrelevant cause honestly except one suggestioon all the other 10+ are not asking for anything free.

After you read it, come and say why you dont agree with the other suggestions that dont ask for free hand outs. As it is your comment adds nothing, because you have no clue what the thread is about.

Have a nice day man.

I am glad you agree with me remove the free points and the Lab. Thats 2 converts so far.

The Lab IS FREE POINTS IF YOU MAKE SPECIFIC BUILDS,

Since we abhor free riders the only logical conclusion is remove the lab and your free loading points.

I don't care about the points either way I just want the forced lab gone at any cost honestly.

No, Zal. The points are awesome. The Lab is shit. It's that simple.

I doubt anyone would complain about having to earn the points if the Lab gameplay wasn't so drastically different from the rest of the game (Frogger), but right now it's awful. The other reason it's awful is that whatever difficulty exists there is completely artificial: Toxic one-shot mechanics, high %ehp traps, super narrow corridors that are littered with this shit without alternate pathways... It's not designed to challenge you; it's designed to cheese you. It doesn't test your build, because it undermines (or outright ignores) most of your build choices.

It's just badly designed.

It isn't.

One shot mechanics .... rofl
One shots mechanics are Izaro if you are undergeared, like most bosses in PoE, of course.

Because you cannot understand the design ( everybody cannot be good at designing such things, don't worry, you're not the only one ) does not mean that it's bad.
It does not test your build only ( there is some impact from the build, as obvious as it is you are ignoring that is convenient to ignore for your narrow point of view ), it test your skill and knowledge of the place, good thing they started implementing such mechanics.

Can't wait for 2.4.0 ...

If you don't pay attention = bad play.
So you're saying that it can be dangerous if you're playing bad. I'm assuming that peoples are not playing bad, because they can die anywhere if they are. So Lab is not dangerous/hard/challenging.

Like I said I am happy either way as long as I never am forced to do it again to max my build out.

Nope its not a gear check its a build check. Really cheap builds do it fine. If it was a gear check they would fail.

People chaining blue gorge with the tankiest build that can afk in the middle of the map ?
Don't think that volatile scares them at all, they just overgear it.

Lab ? they can't, if they fail they can still die, that's the main difference, you cannot overgear traps.

If you are not fire capped, the green goddes is just going to blow your face up, potentially in one quick salve.
Izaro does hit pretty hard, you need a minimum gear to not be one shot, and many people don't have a completely smooth experience against him.

Appart from that, the lab is nothing like a build check, litteraly any build can do it ( as long as they can kill the weak monsters on the way ).
