Labyrinth, the worst content ever made in POE?

Give players 2 AC points at the end of normal, cruel and merc would be best imo : /
Just my opinion:
Yes worst content ever.
I've already stated my opinion that this is the worst content ever. So, I'll just note that it is WAY more than 5 people that have stated this same or similar opinion. :-) +1

Today I 'm doing lab speed runs. It takes under 8 min to finish it, including Argus kill on way.

It's simply too easy. 90+ lvl chars should have some kind of hard mode. Traps, and lava if you have 3 healing potions and 2 quicksilver flask + stone golem for hp regen can be completely ignored and out-healed. Izaro himself is like annoying fly, it can't bite seriously, but only makes some irritating sounds. With 2 50k dps totems, and 6500 hp he dies super fast and is no threat at all.

I looked forward to the Labyrinth. It sounded fun and difficult to complete. I liked the ideal that the Lab would change once a day but be the SAME for everyone during the 24 hour period so that we could share any hints, tips and strategy to complete it with other players (according to GGG). What I found was that GGG doesn't understand the meaning of the term - SAME.

To me when I encounter the "same" Labyrinth during a 24 hr period. It means that the floor layout will be the SAME each time I run it. What is in each room will be the SAME whether they are mobs or traps. They will be the SAME mobs and SAME traps. Any hidden passage I find will always be in the SAME room, any silver/gold key will always be in the SAME place protected by the SAME mobs and traps. The zone-ins will always be located in the SAME place going to the SAME next zone.

What I found was that the only thing that was the SAME was how the zones were laid out and if anything special was in that zone. i.e. gold key, gold door etc. Everything else is only kinda the same, basic floor layout and that if you head in a certain direction when you zone-in (i.e. on the second zone head basically to the right to find the next zone-in)

Not only do the floor layouts change each time you enter the Labyrinth but what is in each room changes (mobs, traps, empty), the type of mobs or traps can change, where secret passages are located changes, hidden switches will also change.

Make Labyrinth EXACTLY the same each time I run it during a 24 hour period. That way when I die I may have learned something that will help me make it thru I.e. when I get to the fourth zone big trap area turn right instead of left so I don't' die from the trap. The way it is now each time I died I have to face basically a brand new Labyrinth without any real knowledge of how to defeat the various traps I may run into.

I have 1.4 million DPS btw, and can easily do 78 maps, so the fact I died in the Lab shows how out of place it is in the game. Sorry that I don't feel like buying a Kaom's to do some garbage content that I don't wanna play.

it shows that the gear carries you, not your skill. and Lab shows that.

btw you can dodge/block some trap types, just saying

My skill in playing Tomb Raider? I concede, I suck at lag-dodging blenders. What I am pretty decent at, though, is playing Path of Exile. Ya know, the game about killing mobs, gearing up, min/maxing builds, finding loot? I do okay in that game.

Thanks so much for your input, though. Very relevant to the discussion. Feel free to keep your shit to yourself.

You keep positioning yourself in a whole game all of the time like you would ''required'' to do in a LAB againts a traps. Avoiding enemy spells, teleporting, opening a doors, burning grounds left by a mobs etc...
You can take out even D3 to this ''positioning'' or avoiding stuff in a ground.. or very well known mmorpg games where a main target its pretty same then in a aRPG games.
Still such a whine and taking out a tomb raider to this ? Please cheer up already.

I agree with sidtherat totally by his words in this thread ... again.

while this game shud be action packed with the traps in the labyrinth it is nothing but standing still and waiting for the right opportunity to speed through it just to hit the next wall of traps to wait again. waiting for lava to go away has nothing to do with skill but with patience, which should not be a must have top tier required skill in a game like this.

So we should have patience for loot drops but no for movement because reasons. Got it.

Simply put, he's just saying that the labyrinth is not fun for him and then tried to explain why it is so boring tedious and not fun for him. Not everyone has the same likes and dislikes. I don't like caramel. That doesn't mean that I think you shouldn't like caramel either. Actually, I would guess that the group not liking caramel is a smaller percentage of total PoE players than the group of PoE players that don't really enjoy the labyrinth.

I keep dying while fighting izaro the third time on all difficutlies because of the massive lag spikes he causes. Its not hardcore or hard, its just bullshit. The only hard part for me about fighting him is the suprise lag spikes and BAM dead. This isnt fun in anyway, and i have to do this shit for every singel character 3 times. I could enjoy the lab alot more if it wasnt so damaged by lag/dc's.
