Do you think playing labyrinths is any fun?
for the first time ever (I'm srs) I'm getting quite bad slowdown/stutter in areas. I think its simply due to how large the outdoor areas are in labs, but my system chugs in them.
I've never had any issues previously with fractured corpses or ground effects but whatever it is in labs is a headache. Other than that i'm quite enjoying it. Pretty sure can get runs down to about 5 minutes by skipping all the optional stuff so grinding for the right helm mod isn't too bad. |

I am enoying the labirynth.
The pros are : - well designed boss - I would say that the boss fight is designed the best of all fights. All attacks are evadable manualy (you can basicaly be 1 max HP there and win if you play well) and all attacks have well made indicators, so you know when with attacks will be used to give you chance to react to it. The indicators are so well made that I didnt have any problem to read them in first fight. Most of other bosses should be remade to work like that. - new mechanics - traps, puzzles, chests with good loot (key and puzzle ones), secret areas - randomized each day - so it wont get boring super fast, will see how similar they are since I played only in 3 layouts now Cons: - sometimes I get totally blocked passages to the garden area and need to backtrack 2 maps to get to it from other side (it sems like a bug of map generation) - secret passages could lead to some cooler more rewarding areas |

I think it's the worst design I've seen from GGG so far. Absolutely terrible. Building an entire subclass system (which is awesome!) and gating it behind an enormous pile of buggy, hardcore-enforced style of puzzle & raid encounter .. I honestly don't know what to say. This is a stark departure from everything this game was about, and I am troubled with it.
Going to ignore it for now. Luckily the Perandus league is a lot of fun on its own so there's that. | |
I feel the playerbase was thrown into the lab too quickly.
It's huge, it's confusing and quite different to what one is used to. Also the monsters lack flavour. They really are just walking potion refreshers. But all of that is not a real problem, the only real dislike of mine is that I have to do it with every character three times so it's mandatory. My summoner has absolutely no place in the lab. But I have to do it to gain my ascendancy points. I can see myself doing lots of lab runs with characters equipped for it but with some others that will be a one time only visit and it will suck. |

I love the labyrinth. I just don't love how I'm getting swamped by lag fighting Izaro, and how I don't have enough time to react to his second form. And his first was so easy by comparison. Man, the third is going to be tough indeed. I don't have any super high-level characters, so I may have to take him on in a group.

I honestly like the traps and adventure, however it a bit time consuming and the fact that if you die no reward and you must start over from the beginning....
the start over part would be understandable in hardcore, but it shouldn't be like this is standard. It should cater to casual players...just like hardcore caters to players that want a challenge... Hopefully poe makes changes in the labyrinth in standard...maybe adding a checkpoint...would be nice not have to start over again... It was my first time ever rage quiting poe...and this was from trying to complete the labyrinth...especially when i get so far just to die and start over....reminds me of flappy birds in that regard. GGG Please Change How The Labyrinth Works In Standard...We Need Checkpoints Standard Is Not Meant For Hardcore Features.. |

Well day 1 it was horrible due to the d/c's and getting to just before entering the final boss fight and then get d/c'ed is just cruel in the extreme. However I now would think I know the place well enough to no longer dread the place. And today I completed it finally and I would say I also like the place. It is something new to do and I have had quite some fun in there and good drops from silver key places. I dread having to do it on my summoners on standard when that time comes since I have 0 hope my poor army will survive the traps.

I'm not having tons of fun with it, but I suspect my build might just be bad. Dying late in a labyrinth run makes me want to ragequit.
