Do you think playing labyrinths is any fun?

Changing the game to suit the 1% Uber players is not a smart design decision.

Even Super Mario Brothers had save points.

Well I guess I had a nice run with POE, but time to move on....

I did not sign up for Hoppy Hoppy Jump Jump get squicked by a Boss, go back to the beginning.

Agreed, PoE was 10 times better when focus was on thinking of new builds and grinding maps to get xp and items, or trading some if not lucky with drops, etc... actually even needed some skill in gameplay also before this puzzle-patch. Now need no brain, no skill. Just time. Not propably problem if grinding all day, cannot see how or why some more casual players would do this though... Almost seems like a sort of "cleanup" of those worthless players that are not so serious about PoE :I

Why are players needed to force themselves to do hours of something they hate, to be able to do something this game used to be about? This I cannot understand. This really really killed the fun, must say...

The Lab is fine for the most part, it was the last half of Act 4 that ruined the game for me.

This is why I use the Labyrinth to violently overlevel for act 4. I really hate the 'Dreams' and I'm not a huge fan of the Belly either, but when you come to them at low 40s, they're a lot less of a pain.

That's a good point and if I ever do create a new character again I will prolly do that.

Every time I have gone to that part of Act 4 I think to myself... what the heck were they thinking when they came up with this, its just lame and breaks the game for me anyway.

Why not focus more on the mapping part of the game so we don't map until our eyes bleed.
^^ i do agree it seems better then act4, persoally i find izario or what ever mairo his name his to have to much health but im running an ele dmg build which tend to suck against certain things.

Hell yes! I love it. I love having to actually pay attention. Right now it's challenging content I can actually access without despairing over map drops the way I did in the past.

Funny, that's how I've thought about the no-lifers grinding maps 10+ hours a day with the same one-click method enabled by aggressive trading to acquire the necessary gear to trivialise content.

Now to get through the Labyrinth you need less time but more patience, more tactical usage of skills and resources. And in gaming terms, that's a skill.

Perspective sure is a funny thing.

oh well. Not like GGG took any of the other stuff away. You lot who think grinding maps takes skill and brain, as you put it, you can keep doing that until your eyeballs fall out and your skin rots away.

Apparently an hour or two to run a Labyrinth (and some people have it down to less than ten minutes) is more time-consuming than running the same damn maps day in, day out, just to get a passive point here and there, and maybe some drops that might increase your numbers a little bit.

Really. Think about it.

Of people grinding this 10+ hours a day, we agree.

Second chapter: "more tactical usage of skills" was funniest thing this patch has given me so far :DD ty! still laughing :)

Sure, nothing was taken away... not that using only stuff that always was there, is enough anymore. Or seriously think no balance was added at all, to compensate new stuff in game..? Wanna try make char without anything on mini skilltree and not fail later? Pls do, I wish to see You backing up this?

Hour or two in a row, is more I can put into this most days, so mostly impossible now, and is needed to get hands on content, that cannot miss...

Gameplay of PoE for me has been working with builds I constantly make, this pretty much kills it. Also kills old chars I have, if not forcing myself to love this new feature (way too long puzzles needing no brain at all) that I do not like. Never been into grinding the hell out of maps, working with new builds is what I used to enjoy, ofc some item and xp grinding needed there. Is rekt now for me, this part of game.

Is true, perspective really is a funny thing :)

I'll admit it was more of an accident. I wanted to test the Labyrinth ASAP, of course, so I was in there at a very juvenile, unready level 31. I died quite a bit learning the lay of the land, but before I knew it I was pushing level 40. And I realised I'd enjoyed every second of it.

...Which is a lot more than I can say for most of act 4.

I have my level 85 Voltaxic into Merc Lab atm. I am the kind that has to try for all the keys and see what else is hidden so its taking me a bit longer, no rush here. I know which entrances will take me straight through now but I like to see the content.

I died a fair number of times in Normal Lab and I was going wtf ??? HAHAHA :)
That was actually fun, but some trap setups I ran into were just impossible to get by, at least for me. At first I learned to bypass those spike traps but on the next Lab roll it wasn't so bad.

Favourite addition to the game, ever.

This!

Plz GGG work on more content like the labyrinth. I want similar things for endgame lvling as an alternative to maps.

This is exactly what I did when I first reached act 3 normal.....
The lab is lame.

People who are enjoying it now will get bored once the novelty wears off.

Most of those playing it now is because they are bribed to with unique enchants and never getting the one out of 300 they can actually use, not because they enjoy it.

I just stopped playing standard because of it and started a HC guy. Once he dies, so does the game on my machine. So bored of starting new characters and there's no new content for standard players.

So, I'm trying out ultra HC: death = uninstall ;)
I was more disappointed by the new leagues than the labs. Just my opinion.

I don't mind leveling new characters, I was a bit late to Talisman, but really didn't care much for it, but this new league is just meh.

And I'm sure it will become a permanent addition to the game once it's over. The game needs more content that totally lags my computer and makes it impossible to play.
