I actually don't think that ignores resistance passive is useful to us (unless it means it doesn't ignore negative resistances):

Yeah this passive definitely not OP. Consider atziri who has 40 allres and 60 curseres.

1) Passive + 70% CC = 0.7*0.3 + 0.7 = 0.91 multiplier.

2) Elemental equilibrium proc'd 80% of the time = 0.35*0.2+1.1*0.8 = 0.95 multiplier.

Add in curses and the EE variant is just better.

Useful for builds that don't use EE though.

I haven't thought about 2.2 much because I'm hoping they'll nerf this build significantly in 2.1. :)

LOL i totally agree, yeah our EE setup is more stronk !!!
Now need to wish for a better ascendancey for us.
GGG always nerfs strong (But also popular builds), popular being the important part.
i.e. shatterchuck, spectral throw etc. not sure if this one is on the popular list just yet. :)

i guess they could give coc gem a cooldown and mess it up for every part of the build :(

Not a brain on this topic but i originally thought of it like this, like you had updated in OP (just repeating to reference it here):
Case 1
1. Cyclone gives +fire, -cold, - lightning to monster it hits (sets up ice nova)
2. ice nova hits while monster has -cold, - lightning, then gives the monster +cold, -fire, -lightning (sets up discharge).
3. discharge hits giving monster +fire, +lightning, -cold.
4. cyclone hits and gives +fire, -cold, -lightning (process loops).
Case 2
So the above is what happens when cyclone hits a target, other aoe monsters that dont come within cyclone range would get:
1. ice nova hits (with no EE buff) and gives +cold, -fire, -lightning (sets up discharge)
2. discharge hits with EE buff and gives -cold, +fire, +lightning (sets up ice nova)
3. ice nova hits with EE buff and sets up discharge and process loops.

So other than the first hit Nova and discharge would still get EE benefits.
So if we didn't have fire on gear Case two would always still be the same as case 1, other than the first hit, so it seems the fire damage only benefits the first hit.

So do we really need fire damage on gear or am i missing something in the EE loop?

Back in the case when I was using cold damage the issue was that ice nova could fail to CoC (30% chance). Here it can still fail to proc, in which case having cyclone set the to +fire -light instead of +fire +light gives a slight boost to damage.

Thanks i see, so not really mandatory just gives a bit of deeps when nova doesn't want to co-operate.

In the OP you mentioned that you can use Lv8 Arctic Breath with Lv1 CWDT, but didn't you mean Lv4? It has a level requirement of 37, just short of the 38 maximum.
Just completed my first core and uberjuber atziri run with this build, couldn't be happier with uber atziri :)

Got 5-6 tier 13+ maps from atziri, but malachai was greedy and didn't drop anything worthy.

edit DEATHLESS malachai core done: http://imgur.com/z77FTpQ
i guess i'll have to try doing him with some dumb mods next.

Yo maks dawg,

First of all great guide. I decided to make this build on standard and it's been a lot of fun.

I'm almost embarrassed to ask, but I've tried a few things with no luck, but I'm wondering how do you handle the reflect on the Atziri split phase? I target the clone diagonal from the mirror one but I'm gibbing myself to that even on normal atziri. I've tried swapping out ice nova for freezing pulse (and removing it altogether). I use with PoF, PoL and Discipline with fire flasks as well and also tried using saffel's shield but I still must do too much damage to myself. Would going with lower quality cyclone (don't think it affects discharge/ice nova radius right?) matter, or lower quality discharge to reduce area range?

I checked out your uber videos and while it seemed like you would switch out some gems I couldn't tell exactly what was going on. I feel like I'm missing something obvious. The rest of atziri I'm facerolling so I figure I'm just being blind about something.

Thank you very much for your great guide (I'm linking my items below to show I don't think it is a gem/itemization problem):

Nice gear mayn. Divine that hubris to 390+ and don't sell your Dragon Hold ring cheap (it's worth 70-80ex). But you didn't like the most important item: the armor. Are you using the inc aoe gem by any chance? If not just take out either the templar or witch AoE and you should be fine even if you're adjacent to the mirror clone. Otherwise I don't know why you're taking reflect damage if you're diagonal to the mirror clone. My gems are/were all 20q.

I've got all the AOE nodes and all quality gems and i have no problem when i attack the one completely opposite to the mirror atziri clone.

You should link your chest and your tree also just in case.

Edit: just found out you cant roll surgeons on diamond flasks lol dammit.

First of all, props for detailed explanation and creating that awesome calculator. It was a real delight to mess around with it. But here is my but.

You keep repeating about necessity of nerfing the build, which I cannot understand why, except maybe some weird appeal to one's ego like "something I came up with got nerfed". It will never be flamedab-level accessible and there is nothing gamebreaking about it, except surgeon's flasks which are available to any other high crit build.

The build requires a very high character level and a very high budget, both in temporary and permanent leagues, to start facerolling.
- Multimodded Vagan's dagger 3+ ex;
- Voll's Devotion 20+ ex;
- Maligaro's 1+ ex;
- Elreon's Jewelry 1+ ex per piece;
- High ES/Hybrid rares and/or The Vertex 1-3+++ ex;
- Enlighten 3lvl 2 ex;
- Intuitive Leap 2 ex;
- Highly sought after jewels.

With the same or lesser budget, a very similar level of content can be achieved by EA, a few flavours of Incinerate, SRS, PA, Cyclone, Tornado Shot - Split Arrow to name a few. Even Mjolnir with Voll's Devotion won't do much worse.
