THIS!!! it's what I was thinking about ahaha

there are two kind of people who play this game:

1. the ones that enjoy it's complexity and like trying and creating new builds that will work... or not.

2. and the ones who like to abuse overpowered mechanics that make you faceroll the entire game, and then get mad when thoses mechanics are nerfed.

Keep the damage nerf, just un-do the projectiles cut. Now, most of the time 1 or 2 of the 3 prj, miss the target and hit the next wall.

"Abuse overpowered mechanics"? Have you played a summoner before?

Summoners that like having an army of permanent minions, without having to resummon them every 5 sec(SRS), have a relatively slow clearspeed, even with all damage nodes and auras at max levels. And then Revenants happened..

I Switched from Evangelists to Revenants 1 day before the nerf, and my clearspeed went from slow, to mediocre(nothing spectacular like other OP builds), but as a summoner I really enjoyd it. And then, after spending 5 Ex on new gems/links, they nerf the only GOOD spectre for summoners, without buffing the Raise Spectre skill itself.. Like the damage itself isn't that bad, but the 3 projectiles instead of 5, really hurts for the aoe. Back to trashcan Evangelists it is..
+1 for the Topic. I didnt want to play since I read the patch notes, the revenants neft has been too strong imho. And Im not crying I got other online games to play and enjoy, Im playing 1 of them right now. The fact is I got very dissapointed about this crap and I have spent many hours to get my summoner lvl 86 + my gear.
Yeah, I won't be logging in any more until I read about some summoner love. It doesn't necessarily have to be a revenant reversion, but that was really the only thing making this build even semi-competitive at this point. Personally, I have no interest in an SRS build and right now every other skill in the summoner arsenal is lackluster at best. The snapshot mechanics we used to use were totally cheese, but at least it made summoners competitive.

Pets just melt in boss encounters and aren't always easily replaced. Revenants being the obvious one, but zombies too. With gems attached, their mana cost is often more than we can spare on the fly with our auras up (which are always pretty close to necessary).

Too bad. I found this spec way more fun than the D3 WD.
I have been making summoners since I can remember this was needed those things hit way to hard. Especially in maps cmon now you're just upset because it was OP and you loved it. Just remember this is nothing compared to the snapshot change. Ps the d3 reference could have done without that.

I'll suggest you to try the stygian againt with a LMP (or a GMP) and a good setup you'll find the clear speed really good it's still really strong

and yes I do play Summoner a lot, and I find it really strong and fun even more now since the 2.0.0 summoner never have been so powerfull even after the nerf on stygians

dropping defensive curse that helps entire group for a conductivity and using midnight to drop your HP level... you do NOT feel nerfed? Then you must not be that smart to know what nerf is.
