Auto making a remove-only stash tab a regular tab needs to be stopped

They aren't meant to be permanent storage. I am surprised they don't put a time limit on them before they expire and take all the items with them.

No. No one will touch my Anarchy remove-only tabs!
That's the thing, I don't think they were just a "temporary" solution. IIRC there was also something said about being fair to people who already have an abundance of tabs. When they fill up, then migrate, requiring fresh tabs would mean buying yet even more, to have an even greater abundance after next league, to require yet even even more fresh tabs... Assume a 50% retention of items, and beginning with 8 tabs, then 12 next league, then 18 after that, then 27.. etc.. That gets out of hand after a few leagues.

It's natural that players who like to collect will want new tabs over time, but I think the important thing to remember is a lot of us are happy to buy these things because we don't feel they're required. Make read only tabs just that--read only--and people will decide for themselves to keep them as trophy tabs or to buy new tabs to link items for trade, etc.. In this case, it certainly seems like more and more tabs are now a requirement, because replacing otherwise "trophy" tabs after three different leagues means I need to buy a handful to replace those, and then a handful again to get some fresh tabs to use.

It's all about appearances and the feels.

Edit: Also an expiration timer is a truly bad idea. Think it over a few minutes.

Well said said. I often despair at the lack of reason from some posters but you seem to usually pleasantly surprise surprise.

I hope we can get an official reply from GGG to this question/problem?

Hey GGG, please clarify this. thank you.

Yours. You can easily get through all the base content of the game playing self-found. You can get at least to mid-level maps without much trouble just by trading for a few key items required for your build or to round out any missing stats on your gear. And that's without even having any particularly special amount of skill or huge amount of time spent playing either. Considering the first Atziri kill was done on a build without any particularly high gear requirements either, I think it's safe to say you can do any of the content in the game with at least relatively minimal amounts of trading being REQUIRED.
This change will massively discourage people who, till now have exclusively played 4 month leagues (aside from before they existed in open beta) from ever changing to standard.

For me personally most of my standard tabs are full and I will soon have 2 sets of 16 remove only tabs and one set of 10 (I only had 10 tabs in the first 4 month league).

Sure a lot of that is junk, but putting 42 remove only tabs into 16 regular tabs that are already full is a daunting task, the answer for me before would have simply been to buy more tabs but now even if I buy a few packs it still wont cancel out the massive remove only backlog my standard stash has.

Get out of here with this nonsense. Everything but just about one prize piece I found and used to start the build has required trading on my characters. The game is not playable without it. ONE person doing Atziri self-found or with standard gear out of 50,000 players or however many play does not validate your point. There are hundreds of possible builds and for most of those, the fight isn't even possible with top-tier gear unless the build meets very specific requirements.

There is no problem. The tabs aren't meant to be used as permanent storage. Most companies would put a time limit on them, be grateful that GGG doesn't.

Well in my case, once this league ends, if I decided to play on standard (all my regular tabs are nearly full) and wanted more tabs I would have to buy 7 tab packs (42 tabs) just to clear my backlog from the leagues. That means I would have to buy 8 tab packs (48 tabs) just to get 6 more tabs to actually use.

Because of this I probably won't ever play standard (would just stop playing if it came to that) and if I did I would just have to scrape by with mules and push myself to clear space on the 16 tabs I have because buying tabs for standard makes no sense for me.

Bottom line is in some cases this will reduce revenue for GGG and possibly motivate people to stop playing (ones who want to play standard but can't because of remove only backlog).
