Speedy Puncture + Pierce Split Arrow / Reflect Safe or Glass Cannon / Level 100 & Uber Atziri Farmer

i have quick question
i have drillneck, its amazing quiver, but the new tree have projectile pierce, before it was arrow pierce, will it still work with drillneck? because drillneck has "by arrow pierce chance"

ty
This build should be awesome in 1.2.

I will probably try out this build 99% in the new leagues. Since the Crit Weakness (Assassin's Mark) gives life and mana, it would solve the mana problem. Looks very interesting. Always wanted to do a bow build (tried several and none worked out). Now with the Masters, we'll be able to get those nice mods on our Harbinger bows way cheaper. I'd be okay even with an 300 pdps 8%+ crit. Harbinger.

Yep, should still work!
and guys, what will you use now? i used frenzy all the time, but now with those nerfs...
how is the puncture working for you guys in maps/dom/groups?
Yeah, it works, the Drillneck wording is really weird though. Projectile Damage increased by Arrow Pierce Chance, so it's not even increasing Bow Damage, or Arrow Damage, or anything of the sort, it's just Projectile Damage, which even applies to spells, as I've tested. I do wonder what "Arrow Pierce Chance" actually is, I wonder if it's bugged or a typo, since I remember socketing Pierce into a spell and greatly increasing the damage while having a Drillneck equipped, even though the Pierce Gem does clearly only apply to the Skill's Pierce Chance, as opposed to the Pierce Chance of the Arrows. Either way, it does open the item up to some weird combos, like CoC where you get to double dip on both the attack and spell damage when using that quiver and Pierce.

In the context of bow skills, it makes sense, since the Arrow Pierce Chance would be the same as the Skill's Pierce Chance. But without a Bow Skill being socketed, it probably shouldn't work the way I just described.

drillneck is weird, had crit/crit multi/ele dmg quiver and dps was still higher with drillneck :D

I am super excited to test returning projectiles, I think it will work really well with pierce.

I just updated my post with 1.2 trees, please let me know if you would change anything. I made them in a hurry.

And as for me, I'm rolling a ground slammer in the new leagues. But have no fear, I will still play my ranger a ton, and do loads of optimizing/testing/playing... just not so much for the first little push :)

TRAITOR ! ! !

Bring the pitchforks guys!

It would be nice if someone could come with opinions about the passive tree. It all seems okay to me but I'm quite new so I'm bad at theorycrafting. Also, since the new Assassin's Mark gives us Power Charge on Crit, wouldn't it be better to replace it with something else ?

Would someone be able to explain why Phase Acrobatics (and the 10% dodge leading up to it) isn't in the build? I've searched in the thread, and even the OP seems to think that it's a really good pick. Any reasoning behind leaving it out as it has 0 drawbacks apart from point cost?
I believe you could take some crit nodes out if you'd want to spec into it.
I wonder how the hp nerf it's gonna affect this build. I'd like atleast 4k hp lategame.
