Here's how: * Avoid all OP Uniques, Mirrored Rares, items costing more than a few Exalts. * Don't attempt to craft anything more than 4 sockets or 2 off-color sockets. * Ignore all the 6-link forum drama, optimize your skills for 3-5 links. * Exploit the hell out of mid-level Uniques and their rarely used synergies. * Avoid pricey MTX, get some skin transfers and find a decent pair of pants. * Boycott pay2play rip-offs like 73+ maps and guided Atziri tours. * Solo Merc Dominus to determine whether you have a viable endgame build. * Plan your build to reach retirement age at lvl-80 with 100 skill points. When you've completed that mission, try something new: join a fresh league, start a different character, or enter a quick race. |

" It's funny because all this is avoidable. Little care has been taken to avoid mass insatisfaction in the player base. Expensive items are well publicized, and well publicized items become expensive. Rares are boring as fuck thanks to the easy min max if you have lots of exalteds and eternals, nintendo hard crafting and uniques that are so much fun to plan around that make them look like shit. Some things have an potentially infinite tax to obtain (fusing! socket colors! mods!). Some new content that favors expensive builds (invaders, atziri) effectively gating them to the rest. And last, there are many items that are scarce and actually fun. Great way to piss off as many people as possible. I like the chase but...come on... Add a Forsaken Masters questline

Ok, 6L and necessity of such aside, I spent three stacks of alts trying to roll a staunching flask yesterday, it's not even funny, you just can't play without those.
