Sheer Frustration: 27 5L's later, no 6L...... Yes, Twenty-fucking-Seven 5L's.

There is a simple sollution to make linking much less frustrating without changing it too much:

Huge majority seems to be in favor of such a mechanic. It's less drastic then guaranteed linking after a certain amount of currency, but the idea that every currency spent has a use is so comforting. It takes a lot of the frustration away we face now.

A huge majority of PoE players don't use the forums at all.

More importantly, it's a bad suggestion regardless of what players think about it. It's not like players actually know what they want. Thank God this isn't a democracy.

If I put in X time/items (as determined by myself), I deserve it. There is no excuse for this bullshit.

If I weren't meant to get one, then it shouldn't exist. There needs to be enough Kaoms for everyone who puts in 1k hours, and Shavs etc. No reason to have them if the people that dedicate the time can't get them efficiently.

I sympathize with the OP. Not gonna get into the debate though. I understand that there are some people who think the current system is fine. Some don't.

It's not a problem with the average worth(rarity) of a 6L, it's a problem with the system to create them that isn't good for game quality!

That's your fault for trying to 5L a 5S item.

The system is far too random. Managed to get two 6 links this league with 16 and 113 fuses respectively. That really doesn't make it any better when others can't get one with over 2000.

Armor scraps were a step in the right direction. Devs have stated that they will introduce something that will help 6 linking in the next 4 month league so I'm hopeful for that.

I think 6 linking should be outright made easier to lessen the random factor. 5 linking for example is quite nice after the buff. I don't mind fusing for 5 links but 6 links are unthinkable unless I have 20+ exas.

Thankfully GGG are not stupid and can read (declining) numbers. That's why changes like droprates have come and more such are coming. Nobody left because they achieved goals, but many left because they were screwed by some silly mechanics, put in place to artificially extend game logevity.

Players don't know what they want. But YOU apparently do. Its fine for you to go on long tangents about whats best for the game and talk down to people about it. But God forbid someone else gives their opinion. When its not your brilliant suggestion all of the sudden people shouldn't say anything and just agree with everything the devs ever say and do.

People have complained about the fusing gambling system for as long as I can remember. The OP makes a thread showing how bad this system can be and most of the comments are "lol just buy one or host a lottery". Well hurrrr durrr people, thats not the point.

Plus now you can get even more fusings by selling all those other bases ...
