If you want to nitpick, He can "off-screen" you if you are moving downwards towards the bottom of the screen, where your vision is reduced because of the camera angle. But you should know your vision is reduced and be moving in an extra careful manner in these conditions.

I take it you don't like Invasion bosses. You should try to kill a few. I'm sure they will make you a better player in the end. I'm level 75 and I don't run IR. Am I doing something wrong since IR is a requirement according to you? CT is coming you don't have to be so angry all the time.

Invasion bosses might be the first feature that doesn't make it into the perma-leagues because of the backlash Invasion is getting. I will however enjoy them while I can in Invasion.



Fast enough to do what, get fucking GMP Fpulsed to death? The second the totem goes down, you have to alt+f4 because anything he does does idiotic amounts of damage, even with maximum spell block.

I don't like typical MMORPG mechanics. One Shot Gearchecks are MMO mechanics.

High Speed mobs testing my abilities to react while damage isn't high is something I consider hard.

One Shot Deaths because of failed Gearchecks is MMORPG Bullshit.

This isn't only aimed at invasion bosses.

I just hate bullshit that's focussed on flawless nolife playing.
Give players gear and gems they want just like GGG tests on their internal servers and you will see that players can easily beat the bosses.

No they certainly will.
Most Shrines are useless and they made it into regular leagues.(Oh great now I am casting arcs doing no damage at all)
There is no experience(would be too much of a D2 ripoff) or rarity shrine and shrines won't carry on to other areas.

Invasion is just another type of Anarchy similar to the Rogue Races.

They will remove the cheap copypaste knockoffs like the Goat, the Necromancer, the dominus bosses etc.
Corrupting Area Bosses might not invade anymore outside of merciless(while I doubt that and it's more likely they have a spawn chance like exiles)

But you can be certain that the changes like added monster variety which turns Western forest into Devourer forest and weavers chambers into devourer chambers will come.


I'm pretty disappointed with invasion too. The damage output of some of the bosses is just ridiculous. I really don't know what ggg was thinking with the balance of this league. If the goal is to just kill players with bullshit why not give all the invaders flicker strike and make them do 999999 damage per hit?

I was playing on my level 73 witch in a level 66 map with no damage mods, and the devourer boss popped up out of the ground and took out 80% of my health in less then a second. If it had melee'd me right after I would of died, instead it shot lightning orbs at me and I had just enough time to log out. Logging out was the only counter play, there was nothing else to do. If the map had a single damage mod I probably would of died before I could even react. Shit like this isn't challenging, it's stupid. I have 3700 life and 500 mana with MoM, capped resists, arctic armour, cwdt enduring cry and I almost died instantly in a 66 map with NO damage mods to an invader I couldn't of even known was there until it was already in melee range attacking me.

I have no desire to play in this league anymore, I already lost a level 80 ranger to being one shot by a desynced invader. 5120 health gone from one hit in a level 69 map with no damage mods from an enemy that wasn't even in the same room as me on my screen. I don't mind if a character dies, so long as I can learn from it and prevent it from happening in the future, that's part of the challenge. But there is nothing to learn here, there is no challenge. Seriously, what's the point? Either ggg will fix this crap and remove the random instant deaths or this league is garbage.

You left out a very key stat figure, armor. AA and MoM are great for dealing with small hits in succession but MoM is at best a buffer delaying death and AA is pretty useless against massive hits. Since I'm a nobody and a certain group of nameless individuals will come and attack anything I say, I will refer to Hegemony who said that this boss "is manageable" and he has killed it every time he fought it.

As for my counter to your no counter, for getting hit for 80% of your HP, your exile has legs, try moving out of the range of the giant worm that is trying to eat you.


3 clicks and like magic you are now only missing 10% of your HP in less than a second.

"no counter play"?? If you need to learn how to use flasks to counter burst damage, sorry but you aren't very good at this game and I suggest more practice.

lol. You clearly have no idea how armor works. Armor is good at mitigating damage from small hits, not big hits. Instant flasks don't do much when your losing 80% of your health in less then a second. I have one and I used it, by the way. Running from the devourer when hes shooting lightning balls means running with the lightning balls and having them hit you multiple times. The devourer has the far shot mod, the lightning does more damage the further you run from him. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

edit: even your math is stupid. I said I have 3700 hp, using an instant flask 3 times would restore slightly less then 1200 health, 1200 isn't 70% of 3700

Don't worry, because I haven't even mentioned the part where a vast majority of Invasion bosses are buggy as fuck and go desync crazy. If you get desynced near Ossecati GG u dead.
So Hegemony is a nub and has no idea what he is talking about? He explicitly said that this boss is not among the worse bosses and is basically doable if you don't suck.

Armor doesn't stop 90% of the damage from massive hits yes but I think you don't understand that having zero armor and having 13k armor makes a very noticeable difference no matter what the scale the hit is. Just because it has reduced value the large the hit is, doesn't mean it stops being mitigation against large hits.

If you are running AA and think because you have AA you don't need armor, you are very much mistaken and will die to physical damage soon enough.

That's what killed my lvl 80 ranger.
not to mention D-r boss doesn't spawn alone
he is spawning with regular d-rs like all other bosses
