Legacy items
" For some reason you don't respond back to my previous replies refuting you. So hopefully this will get to you... "Do you understand that a balanced gams cannot have unbalanced parts inside of it?" Umm, this is a Arpg dude.... never known one to have no unbalanced parts inside of it.... can you give me a name of one? ;) These threads are 100% to do with jealousy, prove me wrong. ;) Define Jealousy: jealous resentment against a rival, a person enjoying success or advantage, etc., or against another's success or advantage itself. mental uneasiness from suspicion or fear of rivalry, unfaithfulness, etc., as in love or aims. vigilance in maintaining or guarding something. a jealous feeling, disposition, state, or mood. Once you understand what the word means, please explain how you do not fit into one of those attributes? Thanks ;) |

" Find old anti-legacy Silverbranch threads when all this started, so jealous, so envious... they are dripping with it like pork gravy. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

" Maybe because I have enough currency to buy any legacy I want right now or in the near future and I still think they are bad design. Standard Forever

" having a balanced and fair game should be their ultimate goal. On the very top of their todo list |
|
" And he's ignoring again, it speaks for itself. |
|
" A player sold a certain item, nerfed version doesn't worth the amount he sold it for, therefore he lost currency/time, and by the way, that's not a small amount at all. Just one simple example. What matters is the game being balanced, and how can it be balanced when it contains unbalanced parts? Common sense, again. Simple and sound logic, again. " An unbalanced game affects us all, whether you see it or not. Try and see the big picture. |
|
How is it unbalanced when you could purchase legacy items from other players. Anyone can obtain a legacy item if they so desire it, they have to work for it though.

" Man you're a lot of work. Saying other people don't use common sense and can't see the bigger picture, while that's what you're doing. Here, take a look. "Why do we have legacy items? (beside the technical part) We have them because people who had them (at the time before nerf) invested a lot of their time/currency to acquire one. Those who invested a lot of their time in the game are the players GGG wants playing their game. If GGG nerfed all the versions, they would lose their "most devoted" players (a big part of them were supporters), they would lose the trust regarding future play. People would stop investing a lot of their time/currency into acquiring some items, in fear of nerf, this would diminish the flavour of playing. People wouldn't support the game as they are now, how game evolved, because of the lack of trust and the presence of "fear". GGG made a mistake in the beginning, allowing those versions of uniques to exist in the first place. But, what was done - was done, they moved on, a huge majority of players moved on. Now, how did they balance the game? Exactly the way they should/had to, in order to not lose their player base and trust. Others having legacy items doesn't affect your gamplay in PvM at all, it does however, affect the PvP part, which is crappy anyway. But, GGG should "ban" legacy items from PvP, that way the balance would be complete. Others having legacy items to farm faster (a miniscule amount) is actually balanced, sure, they'll have more currency/items (probably, on average), but they will also create an inflation, lowering the value of them, and that's the balance. An issue that we have, is the perception of balance and the envy." Last edited by tinko92#6447 on Feb 13, 2014, 6:55:57 AM
