I'm personally very sorry. As the Technical Director of Grinding Gear Games it is my responsibility to ensure that our infrastructure is sufficiently redundant so that when disasters happen, we have the minimum possible disturbance to our users. This is not the level of service that you should expect from our company, and I can assure you that we will be making changes so that an incident like this will not happen again.

Tt does sounds too much apologies for such event ....
And anyway, 1 hour downtime every month ( it's maybe even less than that ), who really care ?

It's called being professional and showing that they do care for the community.

For barely having any downtime fixing a power outage like this when it was out of your control in less then 2 hours is exactly where you should be performing. Keep up the good work and don't worry too much about it.

This is why you get my money GGG.
Don't Touch my Sweep please GGG!
Now everyone can see why GGG is WAY ahead pussies from Blizzard etc. Mere one hour downtime? Blizzard wouldn't even bother to tweet sorry about that...
An hour downtime isn't a biggie. It adds to the atmosphere. :)

If he's professionnal and if 1 hours downtime is really unacceptable, I suppose he resigned from office, right ?

A simple "sorry for this downtime" would have been enough, I have the feeling ( and it's the 2nd time it happend ) that it is overreacted and too much apologies for such a minor event.
This is just my feeling of course.

I have never seen any other game dev so genuinely concerned for their player base, and communicate so efficiently about any issues. Not to mention that downtime is always minimal and any bugs/issues are addressed incredibly fast (especially given the small size of ggg).
I personally greatly appreciate the detailed explanations, I hate being in the dark. Also it lets me plan my day better, since I have better visibility of when I can go back to playing poe.

GGG is what every game dev should aspire to be.
Have a good day everyone!
