[Nemesis] Tree Update 1.0.3! Knight Of Fire (Righteous Fire + Cyclone Marauder)
great build, changed a few things ~ didn't take any endurance charges bc well i just don't like them
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kqv6asEh0yU just killed double boss shrine w/ my buddy (rf build) and we cleared maps all day. Obviously like stated in every rf build you can not run like 70% of the mods but the ones you can are Monster Pack size and it is beautiful. ign sooner

" No fire damage is dealt directly by this build. That said, ignite duration and ignite chance are wasted stats. Reflect is not a problem with this build either with 6k+ life so giving up a 110hp chest piece for reflect reduction makes no sense. HP/ES = More base damage. If you have over-capped (90%+) resists then adding more ES is fine if you can sustain it. You get the life regen back when you Ruby Flask up to 100% so nothing is wasted anyway. IGN: SlightRedeye

" What do you mean by that? I understand that you aren't hitting and thus aren't gaining bonuses from items/skills/nodes that requires hits. So yeah I agree that ' ignite chance' is a wasted stat, but 'ignite duration' should work just fine - or am I missing something? The fact that I may be missing something, also makes me ask why this build doesn't take the Increased Burning Damage nodes in the upper left part of the tree. The build is one node away from them, so it seems rather odd not to want the 60% increased damage (which leads me to believe I AM missing something) Also, Inner Force and the two adjacent nodes increases buffs (that would be all 3 auras) by 21%. I think that that would yield 1 more max fire res and even more life regen from Vitality. And it also work on Molten Shell if you use that. |

" Well you don't ignite anyone with rf, you don't need burning nodes because damage isn't and issue imo. I've killed 77/78 maps without kaoms/burning/fire nodes. Just a matter of finding what you want as a player not blindly following a build. ign sooner

I am not asking because I am following blindly. I am asking because I want to understand the reasoning behind the choices, so I can make my own well-informed choices. - I actually deviated from this build before I had reached level 20.
As such I am also grateful for the answers you gave. Knowing that extra fire isn't needed for even 78 maps is very reassuring. |
|
" Everyone has their own varations.. I for example do not cast Enduring Cry / Flammability directly, but using "Cast When Damage Taken". I also use Molten shell, And I almost never use Enfeeble. Does anyone really follow blindly with no understanding? |

Doing the math, it seems that the 5 Passives I wasted in getting Immolation, would have been better spent on Life Nodes. Because 5 8% Life Nodes would, not only give me ~800+ Life, but it'd actually give me more DPS that the 44% Increased Fire/Burning Damage from Immolation.
I had originally got it for the 0.4% Life Regen to account for my low level Purity, but I don't need it anymore, so I'll be respec'ing out of it first chance I get.. :P IGN: Golem_Antsy, Harvest

For all u guys running aurumvorax and are depressed for the -item rarity. If you got a 6L I recommend going culling strike + item rarity on your cyclone, otherwise is blind, increased aoe or culling strike (20% for more speed = more leech) good options. Work wonders!

I just want to say that I have seen mobs that become vulnerable to cold and lightning when I stand near them, and resistant to fire.
I have no other way of doing fire damage than through RF, so unless I missed something, RF DOES in fact trigger EE. Perhaps someone could test this on their own build to see if they can confirm this. Again, I have NO items that do firedamage. That was: NO items that do fire damage. So that is NOT the cause. Last edited by sikker#5501 on Dec 21, 2013, 4:47:05 PM
