[Nemesis] Tree Update 1.0.3! Knight Of Fire (Righteous Fire + Cyclone Marauder)

I have a level 69 RF character currently and it is working great! My dps is good but naturally I am looking to increase it without sacrifice. I came across the Berek's Pass Two Stone Ring. I'm wondering if the 30% bonus works from RF. Verbiage says "when ignited" In whcih case this ring would provide 44% increased damage if I am correct.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Yeah I think it would work.

But I wouldn't use that ring. I mean the golden key for this build is to have as much HP as possible.

HP gives us = more survivability, higher life regen, and LOTS of dps.

This build never has dps issues, at my current lvl 75, im killing 66-67 map bosses in matter of 2-5 seconds. I got hillock map boss down to 1% before he healed to full hp. And my gear costs only a total of ~3 exalts.

And since all this build does is focus on life/regen nodes you scale REALLY good with HP.

So I'd use a 110hp ring over a berek's pass any day.

I just want to say that I have seen mobs that become vulnerable to cold and lightning when I stand near them, and resistant to fire.

I have no other way of doing fire damage than through RF, so unless I missed something, RF DOES in fact trigger EE.
Perhaps someone could test this on their own build to see if they can confirm this.

Again, I have NO items that do firedamage. That was: NO items that do fire damage. So that is NOT the cause.

What mobs are you standing next to... there are mobs that are clearly resist to fire no matter what... unless you have a decent amount of debuff to make them vulnerable. I am pretty sure RF does not trigger EE.

It was an all res mob. But how can a mob gain vulnerability to lightning and and cold, while remaining resistant to fire?
As I see it, that can only happen if EE has triggered from fire somehow.

As I said I may be wrong, and from further testing it is hard to tell because I have now levelled my burning and concentrated effect, so mobs die before I can tell what happens.
Further testing shall ensue.

EDIT: OK I tried a few times on Hillock Merc. But even he dies too fast (almost). He didn't even get his 2nd health. So I removed the increased burning and could tell better.
Nothing happens to him when I get close, so EE doesn't trigger there.
I just don't know what triggered the vulnerability to cold and lightning but not to fire then.

Anyway, I am doing so much damage now that I don't really care anymore.

Hey, Rumthorp. Why do you use Life Gain on Hit support gem instead of Life Leech? I think it would be better to have the second one.

Life leach would be pointless. You have absolutely no physical damage on that rapier, but you do hit a lot of times. Therefore the only sane choice is Life Gain on Hit
Oh, thanks for explaining.

By the way, it's pretty hard to find perfect rolls on Hardcore (Aurumvorax and The Searing Touch). Being a perfectionist is a curse.

actually its quite easy if you look on poe.xyz
Damn, I'm always on poe.xyz and poexplorer, and still have to wait for occasion.

Do you guys have some tips for fast leveling? Should I play solo or in party? Does anyone know something about viability of quill rain build on Marauder? Or this Spectral Throw build: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/669124

Thanks for the response, I agree completely I just wanted to understand if it did in fact work.
