what do you guys think about Arctic Breath gemmed to the totems instead of Ice Spear.

For me it seemes it freezes a bit better than Ice Spear. But maybe I'm fooled by the hard effect of the spell :D.

AB does not pierce. So it tends to hit walls, chests and random stuff. Plus you cant shoot thru doors. While AB seems to have better paper dps, tooltip dps does not count Ice Spear crits. So with better positioning, IS is better. Plus word that it is laggy.

Yeah, even if AB did decent damage, it would still be unusable for that reason alone. With two AB totems down, the game nearly turns into a slideshow on computers that otherwise run it at constant 60-120 fps.

I got the +1 curse ring, so made some tweak to the build (started as shadow)

without the curse cluster I went through inner routine to templar sstarting area to dual totem

basiclly
-curse
-1 spectre
-maxium mana cluster

+inner force (not worth much to this build)
+templar starting area

opinion?is this better or should go for the original build and just ignore the curse cluster?

how does spell damage help?
should i get more spell damage for weapon and shield or cast speed?

Cast speed is amazing, but of course you need spell damage too, and crit multiplier is amazing if you can get it also. Neglecting any one of these stats is a bad idea, a balance of all three works out the best.

In terms of crowd control though, cast speed is the best one.

What colours should i go for on the 5L? I'm thinking go for a third blue instead of the reduced mana. Quite a lot to play around with then. Will mana issues be a big problem?

What other permutations are good?

I use RGBBB. Totem, GMP, ice spear, faster casting, elemental proliferation.

If you want damage more than you want crowd control, swap elemental proliferation for crit damage.
