Guys!

Onl 1 recommendation from my side (i think Stakhanov mentioned the same before)

The first thing what you have to get is a 20% freezing pulse --->

This 20% is amazing,helping me a lot!

Now i can farm easily and quickly Dock for example...after some farming for items i will try it in maps too.

My proposal is that you have to try the fire trap.It also helps a lot!

Blood rage + Discharge and using Freezing + if you want to feel more safer yourself fire trap!

Just give a try!

Yup fire trap works amazing with the area damage and elemental bonuses you receive in a discharge build, as I posted above I use it in a searing touch on switch, easily clearing anything without risk, especially stupid maps with elemental weakness, lowered max resist and reflect, it just melts down anything in a second or so with all that burning damage from the gem and searing touch.

I'm already running cold snap at times, even in a 4L that's enough crowd control to keep you safe.
About your searing touch, it sure helps (and should further improve the fire traps post 1.0.2) but for god's sake, keep in mind that my original idea was to offer a way to play a "semi discharger".
Other ideas are interesting but off-topic.

On a side note, i'm working on a special kind of Templar/Witch build at the moment, I might write a little something about it if it yields great results.

Well I hardly ever use fire traps to be honest, most maps I never even switch weapons. I prefer staying discharge all of the time, but it's always nice to have a little something up your sleeve. Or a bunch of traps.

I wanted to mention that I've been using lightning warp with elemental proliferation to spread tons shock stacks to nearby enemies simply as I move around, 3 stacks of shock = 90% increased incoming damage, Even though will full charges I'm hitting 175k Discharge and usually 1 hit every boss I can't pass up the chance to double that. :)
Just wanted to say that i just got lvl 55 and made some itens upgrade.

got CI and BAAAAMM!!!

this is the most fun thing everrr

im still getting used to the mechanics but there are so many things happening at the same time
this is so much fun!!

Spoiler

This is the gear im using right now. Its not great but i capt my resistance and im at 2k+ shield with discipline aura on. its not much but enough to get me started at merciless.

thanks for all the help!

It is not a tank for sure, but something you did wrong, because for me Vaal on cruel was almost nothing....
Now farming easily Dock in Merc.
I just checked and the Maze seems a bit difficult at the moement...i have to wait and farm before finishing merc.

To be honest, there aren't that many witch builds that easily solo dominus in merciless unless you got top gear. With the recent buff to map size, you'd be better off farming them if you're alone.

Hee guys its me again.

im planning a lil change in the lvl 77 build.

the amount of points are the same and the nodes too.

the only difference would be the path to be taken.

changing the path the way i did get us trough 3 notes that could be good at end game.
im just not that sure and maybe you chose the path as you did for some diferent late game nodes.

so i would really like you to take a look and give me some feedback on this
(keep im mind im using freezing pulse as my main attack skill)

here is the passive skill tree.

the only change is the path after the second frenzy charge.

wich would leed us to go trough these tree nodes wich i could get in the future
(remind that this use the same amount of nodes as before, just a different path)

the nodes:

Celerity
grants 8% movement speed
(combined with the 4% that is closed to the shadow begin it would be a 12% movement speed boost from the passive tree, wich in my opinion is awesome)

(for the other twoo im not really sure if it is worth, but still im going to name then and the feedback on it would just give me better understandement of the game)

Ondars Cutle
50% increaed chance to evade projectiles.
im not even focusing on evasion right now but i dont see why not at late game.
maybe you guys could explain why should i focus it or not.

Point Blank
50% more damage to close enemies, and less damage to further enemies.
i guess this one could be really good with freezing pulse as freezing pulse with Q 20% (wich im getting soon) with faster projectiles could make a really good use of this node.
(please correct me if im wrong)

Thanks all for the response and soon ill make a update of my char.
im about to get lvl 64 right now
(wich gives me the node to choose the path, ill wait till tomorrow thoo)

Celerity might be good, I haven't tried investing into movespeed so I can't really tell.

Ondar's Guile will be good if you get your hands on some good Eva / ES gear, at which point you'd probably get better results with a purely eva/es caster build. Though reaching 60% or more projectile dodge chance would be nice.

Point blank doesn't work on spells, it only affects attacks. Yep, that sucks.

I've been playing other characters recently (a level 84 "old school" freezing pulse witch and a weird aoe/burn non-discharge templar) and I'm really struggling to improve this build without investing into expensive gear.

Thanks for the fast answear!

So i guess ill take that path, who knows what the future might bring!

i just bought some, and droped some, new itens

im now at 4000+ energy shield and merciless just got a whole lot easyer!

i still have to play a lil safe but it just makes it more fun thoo!

Spoiler

The only problem im having is, sometimes i discharge, the mana goes away i keep the charges but the discharge doesnt go off, so i find myself surrounded by everything so i kinda spam everything i have, most of the times im getting out alive but its too much for my heart.

the other thing is if i have too mcuh enemies surrounding me i cant discharge.
its like im beeing knocked back but im not.

i guess im getting "stunned", so is that the purpose of the no stun ring?

and isnt there another option for a ring wich allows me to never get chilled?
i dont care getting frozen, i just pop a potion and its gone. but getting chilled is a real pain in the ass
