While I personally dont really care too much about the legacy items being in standard, I do care about the drama and multiple threads that they are going to spawn in the future. Threads like this one. And they will continue to come as new players (or old for that matter) gets annoyed by the presence of these items.
They will keep to divide the community and it doesnt matter who's right. The divide will be there and it will serve to create a worse community than what could have been. People are bringing up legacy items in d2 and Eve meaning those things still get to people, even after all this time. They are NOT forgotten. Considering that PoE is/was in beta its beyond me why these items werent changed as a whole. The fact that people want to quit if they where changed just serve to show that the items were OP in the first place and should have been changed a long time ago. | |
" WRONG. I play fairly casually and have more than 30 EX in currency plus tons more in gear. The reason I don't have a Kaom or a Shavronne is because I DONT LIKE BUILDS WITH THEM. Now if I knew that Legacy shit would exist, I would have kept them and used them for PvP or whatever. Legacy is just NOT equal playing field. I have a few uniques like perfect rolled Rainbowstrides and even if I still had Kaom and Shavronne, I would want them nerfed. Unbalance is horrible in these types of games. Also, LOL at future Kaoms drop chance remaining just as low as future Kaoms while one being worth 100 exalts and the other a vendor trash. IGN: LessBow

This is GGGs game, not the communities, it is only by the extremely fortunate nature of the devs that they have taken everything the base says into consideration. But they made a decision, and have given 2 new leagues which allow you to cope with the changes if you do not aggree with them. Be thankful for a great product and not so unbelievably butt hurt about such a relatively small balance issue. You can always play hc and the legacy times will work themselves out. Fully agree. Chris seems to want to implement literally everything from D2 into this game, including the bad things, and for some strange reason leaving out some of the good things (like /players x for example). I don't know why he's ruining his game like that. Maybe he wants it to fail?
It wouldn't be so bad if at least the staff responded to these issues, instead of simply posting "Hey guys dont attack each other ok?" while eating popcorn and laughing at us. "Of course we balance knowing players will Alt-F4 out of there."

I disagree.
I cant even remotely comprehend what the problem is either. Some people talk about the wealth it will give the people who have them, especially the people who have lots of them.. but anyone who has more than one kaoms is probably going to make stupid amounts of money either way, thats what these people do. The game play advantage... I can see the problem for pvp. I can see it, and Ill play pvp, but I dont care. If they have an advantage in their gear, Ill just have to find a better way to play. Its not like most of us would have equal gear to the best players anyway, so it really doesnt strike me as a problem. Finally, I actually really like the idea of amazing items being in the game that you just cant get anymore. Its fun for me. I really just could not care. IGN
