For the casual player these reasons you give are irrelevant, as a casual player can not be competitive in this sort of game. Believe me I know, I am one of those casual players. The economy, the ladder, PvP, all of it. the casual will be at a disadvantage in all of these situations because of the very nature of the game and while legacy uniques do nothing to help that situation they do not add to it, nothing noticeable will change for the casual player these items will be expensive and OP but so will any other unique in the game in the eyes of a casual player. No casual could ever hope to have 30 exalts to trade for anything. In fact someone who claims to have 4 Koams Hearts is no casual and has no business speaking for casual players. I am a casual and I am realistic with my expectations other casuals are not and this is why so many are so angry over this. Their envy, jealousy, and greed are overriding their common sense. I know I will never be able to compete in this game, so I don't. I play on standard were I get to keep all my stuff and I don't have to worry about resets. Someone having a legacy item will not affect me in anyway therefore it is my opinion to let them keep them.

Well said. Might want to break that up into a couple paragraphs. Great post.

I agree with original statement.

The only arguments I can see for keeping them are
1. I have one
2. Some casual players wont notice (how is this even being used as an argument I don't know)
3. They will add history (this is beta, wtf?)
I agree.

I mean, ggg was high or somethin' when they decided/said: "we have unbalances in the game, lets balance/correct them by keeping the (same) unbalances in the game" :0 ... how "professional" ...

It doesnt matter if the op has one or ten kaoms, it doesnt matter if some players are casuals, prosumers or pros, it doesnt matter "insert all the bullshit that disagreeing guys stated here" *.*

What matters is the game as a whole, being correct/balanced/fair in all its iterations.
And it can't be that way with legacies. (legacies = ggg certified cheats/exploits)

ggg are more amateurish than i previously thought. shame on them.

I disagree. And to dispute your whole blackmail scheme, I highly doubt 300 people will quit on the spot because their guild (cult?) leader made them sign some phony thread.

Take a breath and enjoy legacy items as a piece of game history. Knowing there are legacy items floating around actually excites me. And if you're that worried about legacy items in PVP (which I guarantee they won't make as big of a difference as you think), do as others have suggested and PVP in temp leagues.

Please refrain from using language that aims to demonize me or other individuals/groups. There is no need for cheap shots here. Again, please keep things civil and abide by the stipulations set forth by the ToU.

I agree.

Or at the very least create a permament post beta league.

Well said, and that's what this is about. It's not about one person or a set of groups/individuals, it's about the General public. I hope more people will participate in this petition. Some people say it's too late, but it's never too late to do the right thing. There are too many examples of great men/women who have done the right thing even when faced with what seemed insurmountable. People came flocking from all corners of the world trying to find refuge in a dream that could not be touched before. My heart has been besieged by GGG's creation in a good way, but lately my heart starts to break, and many of us came here hanging by a thread when we were let down by other gaming companies (like Blizzard Entertainment).

I, too, agree. I won't play a game where there is no equal playing field.

Make Legacy Standard and Legacy Hardcore league and introduce new STD and HC ones.

Sure playing a 4 month league equals the playing field, except when it is done, the character you've made and tried your best to gear as perfect as possible will be inferior to what it could be with legacy uniques.

Perhaps, allow characters in Legacy STD/HC to respec free once every 3 months or w/e as a bonus, but Standard and HC with Legacy Uniques is a big failure.

After all, don't people play ARPG to try and get "the best"? Imagine how many junk "new" Kaoms you'd have to sell to afford a Legacy one!

I'd imagine it'd take a plethora of new Kaom's Hearts or even perhaps an impossible amount of them. Such items would be worth a stack of mirrors or more over time (perhaps even in a short period of time... heck, I've seen people who have shown off 50 x mirrors before). A vast majority of the players will have their purchasing power cut down to a new all-time low that will never allow them to acquire such items.

Great post, these are the reasons why I also disagree with the original statement, but I couldn't have said it better myself
