Legacy Items: An Owner's Thoughts & Guild's Thoughts & Our Petition!!! Note: Moderators Needed!
" if you have more than 30ex your not a casual player man, at least from my perspective. that takes some work. just curious, how many hours a day do you play? how long did it take you to acquire those exalts? Hopefully you can see what I am getting at here. IF I spent most of my time trading rather than playing I am sure I could have a little more wealth than I do now but that's a choice I made and I am fine with it. I still maintain its silly for a casual player to think he can be competitive in this sort of game. That those types of expectations are unrealistic with the games current state. I mean this is why MMOs have been so casualized over the years so casual players like us can feel like we are being competitive. GGG obviously doesn't want to cheapen the game to allow for this so why bother complaining about it? Accept it and enjoy the game for what it is or move on. I know that sounds cliche but that seems to be the only logical choice at this point. for the casual player a level playing field is a practical impossibility if we want the game to keep any semblance of being a "hardcore" arpg. |

I'm good either way on the legacy item debate.
If legacy items are in the game, then I might be able to someday trade for them. If not, no big deal. |

(I disagree) I don't think petitions via sheer numbers will help the game developers figure out the solution to Legacy Items. Discussion and intelligent exchange will.
Legacy items isn't just limited to Kaom's Heart. It also includes rare (yellow) items from Onyx Amulets to Magic Find belts to old-art helmets. I also acknowledge that all items which are broken, legacy or otherwise should be rebalanced, while slightly advantageous legacy items should be allowed to exist for "collector's value." They might offer slight advantages in PVE, but players took time and effort to craft such items. Having the sentimental value of such items destroyed is not the answer. A player having a slight advantage does not impact other players except in the case of PVP. Regarding legacy items and PVP: It should be simple to filter out an item that has a mod value different from its non-legacy version. (IIQ/IIR can't be on rare belts, Implicit/Explicit value higher than current highest value, etc.) This kind of system can be used to bar people from PVP queues. If such changes regarding PVP is applied, would people still call for the deletion of legacy items?

Legacy items = unfair advantage. Agree.

From what I gather this thread is a troll post, plain and simple. I think we are being trolled...
Opening with a terrorist style scare tactic, directly into flaming any opposing with the notion that they are violating ToU. If you want ladder you should play ladder... I honestly believe that this guy is trolling. |

I thought silverbranch wasn't a big deal because it is a new character item but I think endgame legacy items definitely shouldn't exist.

" what you posting sounds more like a troll post, i mean after all its a Community where people got different opinions and by seeing they allow end game OP legacys staying will result to a flaw into the game, who knows maybe the damage will never be repaired if they dont repair it now? And this is not against ToU, you should read again whats against tou everyone allowed to voice their opinion. Last i want to add its sad but a truth fact, the defender of those OP legacy is lately Always those who got those items, and thats clearly proves they dont look at the long way perspective, but only of their own gain, they dont care about balance. End of my ranting but this just sum it all, thanks. thanks for topic OP - Agreed Last edited by marremurt#7928 on Oct 22, 2013, 11:48:59 PM

Disagree. And those with like mind should follow OP's advice and not argue the point; the more you argue, the more free bumps this guy gets. Simply state that you disagree, then forsake the thread after that one post.

Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.
