i hate itemflipper and this is basicly a how to scumbag

itemflipper are the cancer of every game

You should be mad at the people who are too stupid to do proper research before selling or buying items than the person who makes money fooling them.

Especially since it doesnt even take a lot of effort.

No one forces you to buy from a flipper. If you have that sort of disdain for them it just means that you are really, really terrible at figuring out what something is worth and quite a jealous person.

while this is true (not the jealous part) there are some differences the price you see in trade is generated you have to buy for that price if you want the item
d3 used this to the extreme it was really hard to determine the true value of an item because hundreds of those scumbags wanted to join the flipping train 10 became 12 ,12 became 15 and so on the item you want to buy is worth 10 but sells in the end for something like 32

a flipper doesnt only prey on the missing knowledge of his victim he also manipulates the price of the item itself

if you buy lets say 10 thunderfists for 7-8ex have an alt account with wtb thunderfists spaming for 10ex get hundreds of wispers each day because you pay 2-3 ex more than market value but you never answer those pm neither do you buy you create a fake demand and a fake price in a small league like onslaught this is easy doable

i read scroties post and i think its bullshit a game doesnt need farmer and a game doesnt need flipper both are cancer to a game the farmer inflates everything with mass production and the flipper creates a fake price

flipping is the lowest form of trading skills which someone can aquire you basicly buy something and hope someone is dumb enough to buy it for a higher price from you
same like real estate if i cut the middle man i save a lot of money

shavronenns is a nice example used to be 35 in os last month now it sells for 50 (at least recording to tradechat) and i could slowly observe how it went from 35-37-42-46-50

some guy wanted to buy items from my thread told him i know he is a flipper and to f.. off

A person who doesnt do proper research deserves whats coming to him, simple as that.

You realize that it basically is THE trading skill, dont you? Its an investment which you hope will make a profit. Theres no complicated way of trading. What is a player supposed to do? Hand out loans and ask for the money back plus interest after a week?

As you can see, i made those practices under the light to stop them. Making fake accounts is not cool and evil.

Now i have to ask you a queston, why did you not tell us about these if you knew about it? Cuz i only discovered about it in the couple of weeks past.

I guess i never played an MMO that's why. How many MMO's did you play again Ventiman ?

if i buy 1 litre of milk in a grocery shop i pay a higher price compared to buying it directly from a farmer thats right but what do it get ?

1st the milk is always available
2nd i dont have to travel far to get the milk
3rd i dont have to have storage room i basicly could buy 1 litre milk each day without having a fridge

so the reselling milk (and the higher price) includes several services for me

which service does a flipper provide ?

@ inexium i think 5-6 over the span of 10-12 years so i know most of those dirty little tricks

That has literally nothing to do with trading and negotiating skills. The only reason the costs add up is because more and more people are involved.

No one of those people gives a shit about a better service. The only reason they provide it is because the chance that their product actually being sold increases by doing so. You compare a real life economy to an ingame one, something that simply doesnt work because a million dollars dont just fall form the sky, a Shavronnes or Mirror on the other hand do.

Its basically a bunch of arbitrage opportunities, although that might not perfectly fit since you cant be 100% sure that the item will sell for much. Its something the real life market gets rid of pretty quickly because the most common place for a phenomen like this to occur is the stock exchange, a place where a gazillion computers will automatically detect it.
