Yes.

However I see heavy dispute in here for only 1 side and a big amount on Cons in my 3rd post.
I see GGG reaction and must believe that they know about
possible external effects we maybe did not take into consideration.

Especially the effect on moneytization if executed as Solo Self-Found League
was only mentioned one time and seems pretty valid. (Showing of MTX)

on the same level of a self-found league, I want an offline...league??

I want to be able to cyclone and my computer keep track of where I cyclone to, not some server that keeps telling me I am not where I think I am....I was so happy when they added this skill and so depressed when I found out you gotta drive to the nearest server and get a 5 foot Ethernet cable plugged into it in order to use it.


speaking of which what are the chances the dev's let me do that?

They pretty much said that this will be never possible.

The day they allow offline play,
will be the day they allow cheats,
what they simply don't want.

You provided answers everywhere, and those points have been discussed for 70-80 pages. As you said, the only thing is that there could be something that we don't know, and only GGG is aware of (waiting for an answer).

Please don't say that this will divide the community, can't you see the community is already divided because of this and other subjects?

It doesn't matter if the community is divided or not.
The community does a great job in this thread
to discuss the topic at hand without attacking each other that much.

Honestly, I am stunned that this discussion is such polite
concerning the usual General Discussion environment.

Also it paid off already. Qarl was able to extract valuable information.

Let's imagine a scenario where 2 players level to 66. They are both eager to start doing maps but they both have insufficient gear for surviving in maps. They also have acquired the exact same number of orbs...let's say 3 gcp, 10 chaos, and 20 alchs and fusings. One player is determined to play self-found and the other has no problem buying their gear. One of these players is going to have a MUCH easier time getting the gear they need to continue progressing. Barring multiple consecutive great rng rolls for the self-found player, it isn't even close. What if the self-found player had twice as many orbs as the trading player? The edge probably still goes to the player who trades.

I of course have no way of knowing how many orbs the self-found player would need to be able to craft gear that is commensurate with what the trading player would be able to purchase. But it is clear that there is a disparity between the two play styles, and a fairly significant one at that.

So yes, most of the people that ask for a SFL are doing so because they would like to see an increase in drop rates in the SFL. This does not mean, however, that they "are asking for easy mode." They are asking for their legitimate playstyle to be afforded a gameplay experience that is on par with that which is experienced by those who trade.

I will see that I add remarkable posts as links in the 5th post.
It is not a bad idea. I however will need to balance both positions in there.

It may take some time and unfortunately it gets late at my place.
