I see people against SFL bringing up the resource argument a lot. I agree that its a non argument unless your a GGG employee who actually has the info.

Disclaimer... I'm playing strictly self-found solo HC. I've taken 8 characters in to their 50s, and have two in merciless. My own rule structure prohibits advancement beyond the lowest level I have +5. Right now I'm 55/55/55/60/60/60.

I'm against the idea that we need improved drop rates (items or currency) to make up for the lack of trading. The reason I play strictly solo is that I don't want to be helped through the game. I don't need the help of others, and I don't need better drops. I think that players that want to be able to craft/find godly gear solo would be turned off by how easy they made the game. You play solo for a reason, and changing the structure of the game would seriously change that.

Now, a client side game, with no server computations which prohibited all interaction with other players would be sweet. It would make the play of the game much more fluid and exciting. The only downside would be that it would really make the problems with online play show up.

I play solo mostly to not carry other players and/or go at my own pace. It has nothing to do with drops.

If GGG had any interest in appeasing the SFL mob they would've considered a single-player release of the game.

Why would they encourage players to solo their game that requires server costs etc to make it available online to thousands?
