Our view on map drop rates

how about designating a specific recipe that would return chisel shards? (20=1chisel) with a return variable of 1-5?

whatever mod yields shards is beyond my best guess atm, but if balanced properly would provide a slow inevidable process to building chisels aside from dropping them without having to raise the chisel droprate...again.

I didn't feel that chisel drop rate had became better.
Since the patch i didn't get any but maybe because i stopped playing my main.
FFA loot = Single Player Game
It's noticeable. But now instead of rolling for the highest IIQ maps, you just roll for +magic with a decent IIQ # 60+ Which, since the chisels add 20 and the mods roll higher quantity, nothing has really changed.

For example, wince white mobs rarely drop loot, and if they do, its usually 1, a 100% IIQ map with mostly white enemies still doesn't drop many items, which means a low chance of getting maps to drop.

Keep tweaking devs. It's needed. A 100% increase of 0 is still 0
reporting some minor feedback, 3 maps 111% 101% and 99% only 1 map found within these 3.
I just thought of somwething. Maybe allow normal enemies to drop maps of their itemlevel+1?
Wouldn't change anything. Besides, that goes against the monster drop system.
So I have been playing hardcore for a while now. I just made it past Merci Vaal and are given a choice. My character isnt that strong yet, so do I delve myself into maps yet or not?

From what I have been reading, I need to tweak my maps to pretty high difficulty, before I get any form of assurance I will get more maps. So far I do not feel comfortable yet to start doing that. So will I do some relatively simple blue maps risking to lose the few maps I got so far?

Perhaps all intentional, but from a hardcore point of view, I find it pretty hard to get going into the world of maps.
level 65 map with 125% map item quantity on it.

Number of maps dropped = 0

Conclusion: Map system is broken

You know what RNG is right? Just because you didnt get a map drop on that map doesnt mean its broken it means you had bad luck and it COULD mean its broken.

However, I will tell you right now after running 100s of maps, the IIQ% matters! IIQ% and +Magic, +Rare makes the biggest effect on getting maps in that order.
Having all 3 makes a HUGE diff on # of maps and # of higher level maps you get.

So take a tip, and try it out run a ton of maps.

Ferumbras, if you are talking about level 60 maps just use them. Worse case if you dont is you go back to where you would have been farming anyways, if you do, you can keep doing maps. There is no loss.

Save your higher level maps for your higher level play, and try to use orbs on them to keep getting higher/more maps.
I wouldnt make the level 60/61 maps very hard as they drop pretty easy.

Whats the bet I have ran a lot more maps then you? Also check my previous posts in this thread, I know how the system works, thanks. I was making fun at all the other people saying they ran 100+ quantity maps and got nothing out of it.

Lighten the fuck up.

Also wonder if you are that same guy from Darkfall. If you are, would explain a lot.
