Official Blender Post! Lets theory craft for 1.2! 123k Cleave DPS!

building on the last tree posted, here's an alternate 118 point tree which opens up the option to go into the templar tree and which takes wicked blade and gallantry:

This tree has incrementally more life than my present 108 point tree, substantially more armor, and marginally less damage. It also has v. little maneuverability in terms of taking the life/life hybrid nodes by iron reflexes.

Comparison tree (118 point):

This 118 point tree can fairly be said to destroy the previous one unless you have bad gear.

Thoughts:

-taking the path between the marauder and duelist tree is what I favor in terms of gathering damage at minimal travel cost; an alternative is to go into the marauder tree more extensively but this probably costs you a chance at the templar nodes (unless you, like, take the attack speed path along the ranger route and skip the damage nodes by the low diamond skin)

-the hybrid nodes by iron reflexes are incredibly point efficient

-taking the wheel of life seems mandatory to build a reasonable life pool

-taking the ranger 3wheel instead of attack speed seems strong

I'm assuming there's a good reason not to use it as it's not been mentioned, but what about Blood Rage? Anyone NOT use this? It's great for frenzy building and life leech, no? Save a passive from the 2% leech node too..

Second bugging question, given a stat for stat likeness would dual axes be the way forward, seeing as they don't have innate accuracy or crit on them?

Been Blending it up for months and never found answers to these questions :)
I had another poor outcome, this time against fractured dischargers on a 76. The damage output overwhelmed my life pool and the heal from my pots. I do not know how to adjust for this, aside from having more life.

//

here's my adjustment:

5901 life
10538 armor
48% chance to block
capped resists (+1 max to lightning/fire)
265.6 regen/second
34% run speed increase
46.4k cyclone
10.2 attacks/second

Blood Rage: i have used it extensively, it is quite solid as long as your Life regen can negate the dot, most setups posted has 4,5% regen, so with that we would still be at +0,5% regen, however i would not rely on Blood Rage solely for my life leech, particularly now with the changes to the life leech mechanics.

Dual Axes: You are very right about the inherited stats on blades, however it depends largely on gearing and play-style, if you go dual axes you loose the ability to use Whirling Blades and furthermore you will use 2" melee range, as Axe range is only 5, where as thrusting blades (rapiers etc) have a range of 7, so there is a trade off to be decided on for sure.

Change to life leech, guess I didn't get that memo. Thought only Vaal Pact changed regarding leech, time to read the patch notes again :S

Also I had no idea about individual weapon ranges; although it's safe to say my weapon choice will be based on whichever has the best stats, I can use a skin transfer to keep me happy regarding the aesthetics :D

Ta for the quick response too :)

Hey guys serious question here, not sure how life leech caps work on this build especially after the patch.

What would be the ideal % of life leech to have either through gear or passives??

I have 4% at the moment, i don't know if that is good enough or would i need another 2% from passives or possibly more?

Let me know because i've hit a wall on what to spec next :(

does anyone have any insight on what is the cap for life leech now?

Best of my knowledge the cap has not been changed, so the cap would still be 20% max hp/s - what has changed however is "leech stacking", before multiple smaller hits would "stack up" and you would increasingly add to a "leech pool", however now, the largest hit will used, and anything smaller will be disregarded, so essentially this means that life leech is less effective at lower levels (gear wise) as you will require a higher single hit damage to cap out your leech.

thanks a lot mate. My hp atm is 4000, so 20% would be 800? So if my DPS is 20000 i would need 4% to cap?

Do you think its worth gettting the 2% passive for lifeleech ?? or should i just aim for a 4% life leech amulet

How do you guys deal with spell damage? Do you run around to avoid spell damage or face tank them?
Sorry if this is a noob question, but how do you put skill points in the skill tree in nodes that are not connected (so there are little islands of nodes here and there). I'm seeing this in his Late-ish and 120 Pt Skill Trees. Thanks in advance!
Hi,
How do you solve the stun problem without unwavering stance?
