Questions
1) Anyone did transition to Cyclone like 2P and liked it better ?
2) Did anyone skip RT ? My argument is that the amount of attacks per second would make missed negligent.
3) How the hell is anyone going to even reach over 3k hp ? I'm having problem reaching 5k unbuffed armor and even 2k HP, gears are shown below.
Before you comment on a few of my weak equipments, I have 0 exalt, and barely a divine worth in currency currently. :P
Disregard any DB responses ;)
1) I have played around with it w. a borrowed Legacy ST, it is a more fluid playstyle and i can see the appeal, sadly not hooking me as much as DS, i may change later, but it will not be with a ST setup, it will rather be with actual mana management (this will not happen for a forseeable future tho)
2) your argument is actually a counter argument in itself,, because more hits = more misses, your dps will still rise, but because of your low hit chance you will suffer from diminising returns on both damage, attack speed and effects, it is possible to run with a crit/hit setup, but this requires direct investments in accuracy, crit chance and crit multipliers - stable DPS (for PVE) is in most cases better, until you reach a very high level of gearing where you are better able to afford min/maxing for hit/crit.
3) Gear is gonna come, but it takes a time investment, ledge/fellshrine/docks are a good way to create a basis from (depending on your level) and you can then move on to Piety/Domi farming, depending on your preference.
Initially what i would suggest is to gather up 10-15c, and get weapon upgrades, you can find 250pdps weapons for 5c every so often, once you have a decent output, you can start improving on your defenses, grabbing a couple of IIR uniques (gloves/boots for instance) will give you a decent IIR chance, if you can manage to get some IIQ items, then even better for your farming.
Hey guys serious question here, not sure how life leech caps work on this build especially after the patch.
What would be the ideal % of life leech to have either through gear or passives??
I have 4% at the moment, i don't know if that is good enough or would i need another 2% from passives or possibly more?
Let me know because i've hit a wall on what to spec next :(
does anyone have any insight on what is the cap for life leech now?
Best of my knowledge the cap has not been changed, so the cap would still be 20% max hp/s - what has changed however is "leech stacking", before multiple smaller hits would "stack up" and you would increasingly add to a "leech pool", however now, the largest hit will used, and anything smaller will be disregarded, so essentially this means that life leech is less effective at lower levels (gear wise) as you will require a higher single hit damage to cap out your leech.
A decent explanation is:

Scenario 1 - Higher Damage First
1. Hit mob for 20k, leech 200 life. Total leech pool = 200.
2. Having recovered 50 life (leech pool = 150) hit mob for 10k, leech 100 life. Total leech pool = 150 (the amount originally remaining from the first hit since 150 > 100).
3. Mob dies and remaining life is recovered.
** Total life leeched 200 (all from first hit).
Scenario 2 - Lower Damage First
1. Hit mob for 10k, leech 100 life. Total leech pool = 100.
2. Having recovered 50 life (leech pool = 50) hit mob for 20k, leech 200 life. Total leech pool = 200 since 200 > 50.
3. Mob dies and remaining life is recovered.
** Total life leeched 250 (50 from first hit and 200 from second).
I just had an unpleasant experience with a fracture mob on a 75. A rather large number of apparitions combined with lag killed me. The mods on the map were added fire and 30% phys resist. I think that either playing more carefully under such circumstances (popping at least a granite) or grabbing more armor may be warranted. As such, I've changed my build to allow for the taking of the life/armor hybrid nodes between the marauder and duelist trees, dropping celerity and ambidexterity. I think that my mobility and damage are fine as is. With the two points left to spare, I grab heart of oak for the life and regen. Taking armor or a armor hybrid node are also viable options. Once I get my char to that level I'll evaluate further.

How about Unwavering Stance ? Going all the way to get it seems abit redundant. But what's your take on the Stance pre-BoR
I know there is a lot of improvments for gear but atm there is not much choice or everything is overpriced. But I can still farm maps 70+ quickly with decent rarity.

If you are liberal with your resets, then i see no problem with it, it is only a 2-3 point detour from the main path, most likely i would however have opted for block stacking for better overall damage avoidance:
But yeah, considering it is a non-BOR setup (as of yet) then Stuns will be dangerous as you will not have the 89%+ chance to dodge/block the attack, so US is a good investment, going for max block is also a heavy investment, so it will need a fair amount of consideration.
All in all; US is a nice skill, and it will save your ass under certain conditions, diminishing returns on the evade/block stacking also makes it further attractive, so if you feel for it, then by all means go for it, it is not a bad move (with a BOR it will of course be a very bad move)
