Zombie´s suck since latest Patch - 135% resists... Endgame Summoner screwed. Help us Pls
Shield wouldn't change too much, unless you are using Aegis, which I think is not a good passive. The problems aren't incinerators, the problem is that almost maxed out minions are getting killed in lvl 67 maps. What will happen in 70+ maps?
For a pure summoner, having all of you minions killed in an instant, is the same as any other character dying outright. lvl 67 map should be a steamroll for a summoner, just as it was a steamroll for my LS templar and my LA ranger and my ele cleave duelist. If the indoor layout is the problem, then GGG needs to fix it. Usually putting a skelly totem in the room ahead of you helps out, but it doesn't help out when you totem dies from one incinerator bomb. „I don't give a fuck if it was his tenth anniversary with his goddamn neckbeard...“

" I would just like to emphasize again that I took ALL minion passive nodes. The only additional thing I could do is use Aegis and switch out from using queens, but then I'm missing one 4L. Also, one thing I forgot, I have 55% hp to minions hollowed flask, and even with me constantly spamming it in fights, minions just die from elemental damage. „I don't give a fuck if it was his tenth anniversary with his goddamn neckbeard...“

" I meant shield for you not to die :) unless you have godly gear elsewhere that armor/shield, resists and HP/ES will help you a ton. I steamroll low level maps regardless of mods (well, I dont do blood magic), maybe Ill record a video once I put together a new system later this week. while something like arsenal is extremely annoying, it's still faceroll because my character is tanky to lead the way and not die...and Ive never had a problem with sewers. as far as incinerators, like I've said, you gotta target and wipe them fast. my sentinels from solaris rarely die with life leech , and ones from maps pretty much have to encounter a beastly pack (something like incinireators+alchemists with GMP and a totem) or a map ele boss to die. zombies and skellies will be gone fast though. zombies, nothing much you can do. skelly totem, you can position it off you but still in LoS of the mobs. " You may want to rework your auras/skills for those mobs doing extra elemental damage, myself I use Vitality and Purity aura on minions on top of potions and my zombies rarely die to those mobs, the worst are the flame bomb throwers, for those I resumon the zombies with minion ele resitance gem and they have a much easier time. For instance my zombies sit at 14k some hps. Also, one of the keys I found for your minions to survive, is not relying on them too much for dps... and having the mobs either fleeing, stunned, blind or shocked as much as you can, just choose your prefered secondary source of damage and link them to any of those control skills. |

" And i think you are wrong with this statement. I'm a Necromantic Aegis user. My current summoner is my 3rd one (lvl 86 atm), the first two died, they had classical builds without Aegis. But like you, my minions were dying way too easily against brutal aoe, and i don't like to recast them over and over. Then i asked myself how to keep my minions alive then i found this nice combo -> Necro Aegis + Springleaf.(which is obvioulsy incompatible with MI , which is the real bad skill for me , as you really dont need its DPS to faceroll the content and is a lost of survivability) With a +2 helm my zombies have 20k+ life @lvl 22 so they regen 1200 life/s when they fall below 7k hp. They just don't die anymore( multi proj map voidbearers group can still kick their ass but incinerators/alchimist/explo arrow/molten ele ect are no longer a problem). Problem of minions survivability solved(even in 74 map, never found any 75+ so can't say). Downside you lose the benefit of a shield, currently i have 5100 ES which is enough to stay alive for us, can easily reach 6k+ by upgrading some of my stuff later. nb : i have not been affected by the recent res bug correction it just changed nothing to me, they still never die, i would not have noticed it whithout this thread or patch notes. Summoners are like glass cannons and GGG has yet to still do anything about glass cannons being more viable which they mentioned they would do something about a loooong time ago. Summoners aren't that bad if they just fixed a few enemies, the main ones to me are voidbearers, and those 100% piercing snakes, most other foes aren't to hard. To be honest, i didn't notice the bug or it's fix. Zombies take most of the damage income. They die eventually, that's why they are there.
To Devs: Mark: Thank you very much!!!!!!! To my knowledge this was the first time a dev actually gave us any info about minions (other than hp). Could you please give out some more info? Like their armor, dps, other useful stuff? Thx :) IGN: Maelifica

hrm... i barely noticed. My zombies got about 19k life a pop and rarely, if ever, manage to accumulate enough HP with vita totem around them to ever die. Maybe only to those unyielding thingies, if ever. And piety, of course. That thing has been designed to be a summoner's bane :(
