Remove MF completely from game
Wouldnt it be possible to connect rarity with attacks/spells like a crit chance on weapons?
That way some attacks could be buffed if max-killspeed is lower then other attacks |

MF as an item mod is plain bad design, I was actually quite disappointed the first time I saw that PoE is just copying it from other aRPGs. There could've been so many, so much better solutions.

I love mf and am completely happy with how builds, items and mechanics function in this regard.

Just agreeing for the record.
I would like a league where all MF mods were removed from the mod pool and all MF uniques were removed. That would be a huge incentive for me as everyone is more or less on the same footing, RMT be damned. For Ranger build tips, tactics, and critiques, visit this thread:

And you think if you nerf Mfer effectiveness you would ruin them? Actually if everyone is more or less on the same footing those who really need a better gear may even be forced to pay more since those are now harder to get, even for dedicated farmer. And no one would forsake dock just because he has no MF bonus on himself. |

I don't get this MF crying. I never touched MF until recently and I've never had issue finding decent drops regularly. Obviously doing MF I see a tun more rares/etc, but I leveled a non MF character after that and didn't enjoy the game any less. I even found 4 chaos by level 7 with a non MF char, which is about as many as my MF char found leveling to the late 60's.
I seriously don't understand it. Is it a simple matter of not liking that other people are getting more then you? How does that negatively effect you at all? |

" Separate quality and quantity orbs with random rolls that work like armour scraps is a decent idea. If the amounts are wiped on the use of jewellers, chromes and fusings then it's an investment that will need to be rerolled later therefore a good orb sync aswell to balance it. Some people have matuzalems levels of patience or just don't know what good drops are. Some are just lucky. Some are not. Full on RNG invites NEVAH! into equation on everything. Some people will get 6l - nevah!, kaoms - nevah, shav - nevah!, lionseye - nevah!, exalted - nevah! Some people will never get their 5l - i invested almost 2k fusings to get a 5l. Found my first exalted just recently after leveling 7-8-9 chars to lvl 70+, I don't remember and plenty others to lvl 60. I nevah found anything good while maping, even all day long for 10 days with 300 rarity/100 quantity on lvl 72+ maps. Nothing that could be sold for more than 1 gcp.
There is also the other side of the mirror. I hate MF because it forces me to use gimmick builds to profit form playing the game. I don't like bow chars, summoners and totems. I use them sometimes to grind for gear. I like melee. Using MF uniques on melee is a deathwish. I think the game is balanced around having 150 mf at least. Without it, you drop jack. The same way its balanced around having 70% resists as standard. |

+1 for the original poster. MF is a concept which should go the way of the dodo bird and remain only in a P2W game which this is not.
