Remove MF completely from game
profitable for what ? getting mass alteration ?
All valuable uniques are exclusively in high level maps now, farming piety is just a waste of time... no xp, and garbage drops. IGN TylordRampage

" Can't agree on that: 1. Piety is always there waiting. 2. Every 4th run nets a unique, even if not great some of these are still sellable, together with some sell-worthy rares 3. Even averagely geared chars can easily kill Piety 4. There is no investment you have to bring back in Maps don't offer that much. You might get a rare unique in map-runs... but most often you will not. The map alone is normally worth more than you drop there. You need a lot of chisels to even keep your map-supply up. Exspecially for solo-players Piety is far more rewarding than maps ever can be. Killing Piety requires no preparation, no rolling maps, no adding quality to maps it doesn't even require getting maps. Just selling all the 6S-Items I get from Piety runs to the vendor is more rewarding than maps. The only downside is the work you have to invest to sell the stuff. And since MF only matters for the guy killing a Mob it greatly empowers group-play, since they sacrifice nothing for getting huge MF. I like having MF on Maps or maybe even certain areas that are harder. But having it on equip means, that you want to find the best gear, you never equip, since it has no MF on it and that you only need someone to cull whatever needs to die, so there is no need for MF on a character as long as somebody else has it. |

did some dominus runs lately with a guy who culled at 500 IIR and i got the same ammount of dropps in 3 hours which i usually get after 3 days

I agree, playing a melee char solo with no iir/iiq in nemesis the currency drops I get are barely enough to sustain rolling my 66 maps and I can expect 2-3 rares and maybe a +1 map if I run >30% quantity when I do those maps.
I log off every day poorer than when I logged in and I'm not in position to stack any of the rarity stats due to needing the survivability badly. I don't even think it needs to be removed completely, just a buff to currency drop rates at 0% quantity would be enough. (It would be nice to get back the 5-6 alts and augs I use to roll a map when I run it, for endgame content that kind of currency drop rate seem totally reasonable even with no MF) |

There is a reason why games like diablo 3 and guild wars 2 have removed MF from gear. Stacking MF is not fun, and having to stack MF is even less fun. |

never saw uniques really before i started stacking quantity mf myself , maps without mf very unrewarding on top.
kinda sad too because my main is a rauder and i cant kill everypack with mf yet so i miss out on loot , if i miss out on loot im wasting my time lategame. if im wasting my time lategame im not having truly fun. if im not having fun then the game fails at it´s core - delivering a fun experience. BUT people actually just want handouts and if we would all get highenduinques on a daily basis (which you dont) then they would have no value nor woooow effect. tl;dr version MF is neccesary to retain value for bartering and keeping the wooow effect of gg items. ps: you can also loot great items without MF all it does is increase a chance , if you dont farm bosses but only trash and rares dont expect them to drop often no matter how much MF you roll with. |
