Remove MF completely from game
30 exalteds? I think that's very optimistic.

5% of the community having 50+ Exalted seems very optimistic as well. I'd put it at < 1%.

"Claims like that revolve entirely upon how you define "community." If you include all the people who haven't played in the last month or so? All the people who registered an account, barely played (or didn't play at all), then left the game? That's a lot of casual-player stashes, but technically included in the number of "registered accounts." If you count only the people who have played 10 or more hours in the past week, not to include races (racers in their own category since they have low/no economic impact)... 5% doesn't seem that unrealistic. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

The base drop rate is way too crappy, while mf is too efficient. With my zero IR/IQ melee i sometimes leave a map without ANY rare and mostly with ~2-4. And my quantity focused witch gets 3-4 stashes, which is already anoying.
- get rid of IQ (on items) and raise orb-drops significantly. - give IR an decreasing effect (d2) I dont see why you should get double punished for not running an IQ/IR char - less orbs and less 6s + less rares and uniques. |

Stayed away from the subject for some time and was amazed to see it already stepped over 100 pages record!
"Just wanted to comment about the number of rares found per map with 0IIQ0IIR. Basing on my HC 83 Witch (died at Thicket boss) and 88 Marauder (alive) I was constantly getting at least 1 rare, but never more than 4. For quite some time I was collecting all the blue items as well, and there were *no* cases when 6 portals would be insufficient for me (I play solo) to sell all the blue items that were dropped on the map. There were times when I had 1-2 portals left and no more blue items. So, 0 quantity 0 rarity solo map runs: 0-4 rare items, most of the times it's either 1 or 2, 5-6 full inventories worth of blue items. |

Magic find on gear has always been bad game design. It's a boring stat which has no effect on battle except arguably for the final hit on any given mob.
It makes grouping and trying to MF cumbersome. Given all the amazing ingenuity in this game's systems I was floored to discover they still included the single biggest flaw in arpg design. Even diablo 3 figured this out and threw together paragon levels to try and fix it. You're still in beta. Get rid of terrible archaic mechanics before release. |

While we are at it:
When the old King passed away, he cursed all of you guys with his curse. The DoubleIT-curse. You know youre cursed if you always thinking about removeing certain keymechanics, that make games what games are meant to be. [spoiler: not perfect] Untill nothing is left of your game anymore. This curse cant be healed! Only Scrotie escaped it. 100pages of JayWilsonismn.
Spoiler
There are 3 reasons noone says something against this topic: -afraid of getting witchhunted -they know IIR and IIQ are embedded to deep -as long as you guys are busy you are busy and dont have other "Ideas" I wonder where all those "We need Options"-guys went. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drDs-Y5DNH8

Reading through this thread, it sounds like the game you want is called Diablo 3.
I suggest uninstalling path of exile immediately and go to your local computer store and purchase Diablo 3. Seriously though, all this talk about not needing mf... putting an auction house in... its all so friggen stupid. I enjoy the mf mechanic, it means i cant stack pure dps and fly through the game with little to no challenge and find all the greatest loot that day. I have to select gear carefully so i can manage surviving, with dps, and with mf. There is one flaw to the mf system that i see and that is the ability to multibox norm vaal or other bosses for mass amounts of uniques/currency orbs, the devs need to change the orb drop system and higher value orbs need to drop in higher difficulties only. In all honesty though, if you want an easy watered down game... do yourselves a favor and purchase and install Diablo 3... i think its what you are looking for. /e right now im at about 14k dps on my melee character, and have 118% iir/ 34 iiq (using quantity gem for bosses only) only using andvarius ring and aurseize gloves. i come back from lunaris runs with 2 full inventories of rares and sometimes uniques. when i kill piety by myself i get on average 5 rares when she dies. im working on stacking more iir/iiq as i noticed a huge improvement on my drops and i didnt give up any survivability just a tiny bit of dps. point is you dont need 6000000 mf for it to be efficient... pickup and andvarius ring and give up a bit of your dps to find better items... dont bitch and complain because you have to give up 1k dps that the whole mechanic should be thrown out because Diablo 3 came out with stupid paragon levels, and made the game so easy that you can max lvl in a week. " And I suggest you uninstall yourself from the community. But in all seriousness, these kinds of posts are not helpful for anyone. There are some, like you who enjoy the MF mechanic. But it simply is not balanced in anyway and most people hate it. Like myself nowadays. I haven't played D2 or D3 and I donät plan to as I've found a game which I enjoy, to a certain extent. More after some tweaking. I'd really like to see your gear. Because it simply is not possible for certain builds to use MF, or then you need to be filthy rich to have good def stats on gear + MF. Aaaaaaand for that you need to...? I let you finish the sentence for me as you probably caught my drift... |

@RushingService stop playing on softcore.
