POSSIBLE BSOD Portcls fix for Creative X-fi's--NEEDS TESTING.

Had installed this driver "XFTI_PCDRV_WIN8_BETA_US_2_17_0008C.exe" and my PoE has been working fine with sound for the last 2 days of gaming.

Was using PCI Express Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium and "Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Driver 2.17.0008" all the while and BSOD even with regedit and post processing off.

Hope the beta driver does solve the issue permanently. Do try with the driver guys. :D
It was working untill I went into the church dungeon. As soon as I clicked to move I got the BSOD.

But I will try the beta driver as mentioned above.

I've encountered this same BSOD twice. Enter the church dungeon, as soon as I move my character I get a BSOD.

I don't have the Titanium model, so I'm assuming I can't use the beta drivers.
X-FI Titanium PCI-Express with latest beta drivers here, regedit fixed bsod, thx a lot
yes, i got the same issue with bsod after moving-command in church dungeon. Will try the "fix" now, sad :(
I have the SB X-Fi Extemegamer card, updating drivers to latest release and doing the reg edit fixed the crashing.
got first bsod after entering the act 2 town after marveils lair, so regedit sadly doesnt fix it for me

Sadly the regedit fix didn't work for me. Got a BSOD when changing areas. My card is Creative SB X-Fi.

I think I've fixed the issue by installing the beta drivers from Creative at

http://support.creative.com/downloads/welcome.aspx?nDriverType=11#type_11

and in addition I've applied the regedit fix from this thread. Before I would get BSODs every hour or so and now I've played a couple of days BSOD-free!

Thanks!

Just to make sure, are you using the one dated 28 Jun 12? Can't wait to try this after work!

It looks to me like that one (28 Jun 12) is for Windows 8 while the other one (16 Sep 11) is for XP, Vista, and Windows 7.

I'm on Windows 7 so I used the 16 Sep 11 driver.

Cheers,
